I forgot to mention, has anyone noticed SOlai has come up BIG and DOMINANT when hes played?

I rem. on one play vs the jets he BLEW Up teh center to get hit by the RG but allowed the pocket to collapse.

Ithink he has taken a MASSIVE leap in the right direction.
 
I've seen it all preseason. We have a nice one-two punch at NT.
 
still dont think hes a starter,but looks to make for a very good back-up NT

Did anyone see him push the Jets player that was still trying to be active after the whistle? He rides for his team.....
 
When he gets into the game he lets his presence be known.

I expect late in the season before Fergy starts slowin down they might increase his snap count to let Ferg rest a little more.

You can see how pumped up the guy is when he comes in the game he is just how you want a NT I keep high hopes for him.
 
It's kind of ironic that he is one of the few guys from that draft that is still around.

But he is HUGE & everyone knows that's what Parcells & company covet, size. The guy we got from the Jaguars this off-season is another monster who looks like he is all over the field when he is out there. I've seen that guy run sideline to sideline to make a tackle.
 
Ferg still looks pretty nasty after 12 years!!! So if he decides to return next year, i doubt Soliai will unseat him. But i agree Soliai is playing much better than last year.

i don't think ferg will be here next year.. but what ever happens we need a good young nt
 
Man, you think back to what Soliai was back 07, and to look at him now it's truly amazing the progress that he's made.

i'm a lot more comfortable with Soliai now than i was a year ago. he doesn't have to start right now. he'll get his number of plays though. by the time he'll be asked to start, he's going to be ready IMO.

i guess we already have someone to compete for back-up NT in Derrick Jones. he has the size to play the position.
 
This front office has a ton of confidence in Paul Solai and they must see alot of upside because if they didnt, he would of been gone already after his off the field problems last year.
