I was curious too see what 49er fans thought of today's ceremonies (HOF). Some where a little upset.

Anybody here a little p*ssed off that that there were not a lot of support for steve at the Hall of Fame induction? When he was introduced, there were barely any applauses. Now, comparing to the Dan Marino contingent, wow...
Even on his greatest day, steve still have to play second fiddle to another person. When will it ends?
C'mon, where are all the 49ers fans at?????

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I know I noticed that too. I cheered and cried for steve in the privacy of my own home :)
What p*sses me off was when steve talked about the great 49ers players of the past and how proud he is to be a 9er, he actually pause to hear some applauses, but there were barely any audibles in the crowd. What's up with that? [angry]

Awww, poor guys.:laughat:

Young is a class act we have much love for him around 9erland its to bad the hall of fame game didn't have the 9ers in it or you would have saw an outpour of red in Canton. Marino stole his thunder F$%K Dan!!!![angry]

:rofl3:

Anyway, these comments were found at http://www.49erswebzone.com.
Please, feel free to let them know how we feel.

Personally, I almost fell asleep listening to Young's dad. He basically started his speech from the day Young came out of the womb to the day Young sat in the HOF chair in front of everyone. Dan's son had a great speech.

hahaha. Oh come on. these guys can't be serious.

I don't have a great feeling about this.

If you go over there, please represent us well.

 I don't plan on going over there

Was it just me, or did i keep hearing from steve's dad

"Canton was still a long ways away"....lol, i was like dang man, how many times can you say that...I did think youngs was funnier though

Of course the 49er's fans aren't happy. Everybody knew that there would be alot more Phin fans then there was 49er's fans.

I'm pretty sure the 49er fans were on the other side of the country where they live. Miami to Canton is far, but SF to Canton is really really far. When Kelly got inducted everyone was wearing red and blue too, it's not like it hasn't happened before.

I clapped for everything Young did and was proud of the Dolphin fans in attendence b/c they did the same. They showed a lot of deserved love to Steve and his father. I thought it was a nice ceremony for everyone. A lot of class and football knowledge was shown by Dolphin fans in attendence.

I agree. Just leave it alone. They feel guilty because they treated Young like crap after Montana retired. At least until he won the SB. They are the ones who made him second fiddle.

I guess if they wanted more applause, they should have attended. Dan pesonally invited Miami to the ceremony, and many showed up. Dan is way more involved in this town than most athletes are in theirs, just listen to his son's speech. It was almost all about Dan's family life and involvement with the community. And the community supports him the same way. That's a big reason this town loves him so much and won't stand for any BS about him from anyone!

Quite Frankly the 9r fans are crybabies

When I lived in California, I always called them the Forty-Whiners. :chuckle:

I am not going to waste my 1,800th post dignifying the complaint of San Francrisco fan. :bravo:
