Several players and agents told Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post they’re getting requests for product placement in from the HBO cameras, along with less lucrative requests for “shout-outs” from friends and family members.
“Everybody wants their product on TV,” left guard Richie Incognito said. “I guess that just comes with the territory.”
Even undrafted rookie tight end Les Brown (who could be an attractive storyline since he’s giving up a career in finance to chase his NFL opportunity) said he’s fielded calls from “a few companies.”

League rules limit the extent to which players can turn themselves into billboards. Agent David Canter, who represents three Dolphins, said “There are ways to make it look like it’s not so blatantly obvious.”
But mostly, the players’ chance to cash in will be limited to wearing a sponsor’s hat or T-shirt in their off-field hours, hoping the cameras pick them up showing a logo.

First - I was just in Richmond VA. Went to that diner last night that had the first waffle cone or something. Wasn't bad at all!
Second - If you don't think these players are "distracted" by that stuff every single day in their regular day just by being an NFL player then you don't know any NFL players. That's absolutely silly to claim there is a distraction from hard knocks "advertisements" moreso than regular.

Someone needs to tell Sean Smith to stop carrying around his Fendi man-purse before the cameras start rolling.

you ate at a richmond diner...more power to you i guess....i realize these players are distracted in their everyday lives but if you don't think it's gonna be quite heightened with hard knocks cameras around well i think thats wishful thinking...the advertising stuff is no big deal unless it effects the player preparation and all but the stuff about shout outs etc thats just a piece of the pie...i want mmy football players concentrating on damn football...it's what they're paid to do...hell maybe try and win something for a change and make this fan base happy for once...not worrying about throwin out hand signals and dropping zip codes in the damn camera...
