The Dolphins will be in a tricky spot when free agency begins next week, without as much cap space as a bunch of other teams and needing help at linebacker, tight end, running back, offensive line and receiver if efforts to trade Jarvis Landry are successful.

Some buzz on some of the need positions:

Tight end: The Dolphins need two, with Anthony Fasano a free agent and Julius Thomas set to be released. There might only be a half dozen free agents available who are worthy of starting.

Among free agents of interest to the Dolphins is Carolina’s Ed Dickson.

Ozzy rules!!

nope to Ed Dickson, rather give Tyler Eifert a 1 year prove it deal and see if he can stay health as well as draft a TE.

It's all hype. The Dolphins have a very nice full roster. What they need is a real NFL QB!!

Ya, an elite TE would be a nice luxury, but they have Derby,Gray, and Duarte.

Dolphins have five LB's with starting experience in Kiko,Allen,Hull,Anthony, and Hewitt. Then there is 2nd round pick last year Raekwon McMillan. Six! Potential starters. Sure, always looking for greatness, but the sky isn't falling.

Unless they move players, the OL is loaded. Tunsil,Jesse Davis,Pouncey,Larsen,James.....with Sterup and Eric Davis at OT and Brendel at center, and Steen returning healthy at guard along with Asiata for depth as well.

Obviously another good RB is needed if Williams walks.

Tannehill and Pouncey are holding this team back. They should be moved.

Everyone complains about poor play at LB, but with young guys like McMillan and Chase Allen, just how far do you go to bring in more talent?

Hard pass on this.... what is the point in signing Ed Dickson. Waste of cap space. Draft someone

I pretty much agree. Eric Davis and Asiata are promising unknowns. Same with Anthony and Hewitt. Free agent TE's have been worthless. I'm not even sure there's any surefire TE worth taking before rd. 3. They're just a bunch of gambles. I'm excited to see more of Grant and Caroo. I could draft a decent RB past rd. three.

a true free safety is the only real unknown, imo.

Just draft the most talented, least knuckle-headed, fits-our-system guy that we can find...BPA.

The article says he's great at pass blocking and run blocking. I really don't want to swing and miss with a second rounder who can't do either.

I'm interested to see eiferts market.. I could get down on a cheap one year deal.

I'm in central Ohio so I see plenty of the bengals and eifert is about good as it gets when.. wait for it... h e a l t h y

That dude is something else in the redzone

LOL.

We need a tight end that can't be covered by a linebacker, that will do wonders for the passing game. There are a few in this year's draft that fit the bill.

The linebackers were not good. we over paid for a guy who was on his last leg. we brought in a guy who was 300lb's. i think you are confused. Mcmillan will be good. Kiko is ok if you can hide who hes covering. who else? come on.. we need another 2 linebackers and quick. You say the O-line is loaded and then you list Pouncey as a should be cut? how can it be loaded and "unless they move players" and then cut one of the said players..

Tannehill isn't the problem. we saw how good the team was with moore or the guy moore couldn't beat out in cutler. We need a lot of pieces. its pathetic how bad the Dolphins are. we need some talent to turn this thing around.
