There's increasing chatter in league circles that the Saints have worked out a deal with cornerback Asante Samuel.
Yeah, it's tampering. But no one seems to care about that.

Samuel supposedly is looking for a contract with an average value in excess of $10 million per year.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers have reached a contract agreement with nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga.

One FA who the Dolphins were targeting real strong is Off the Market. That FA is a NT for the 49ers names Issac Sopoaga. Miami was really looking to try and sign this guy according to reports and it is a shame he is off the Market.

Another FA that alot of fans are hoping for could already have a home. According to PFT Asante Samuels could have already agreed to contract with the Saints. Personally it really bothers me Sopoaga re-signed with the 49ers cause I was really hoping we signed him, but as for Samuels the guy wants sick money and rumors are he is a product of the system. I would much rather draft a young corner who become a shutdown corner....

SAMUEL SAID TO BE A "DONE DEAL" IN MIAMI

From PFT.com

Did the Saints move to Miami?

Well now we wouldn't have to listen to Asaunte Samuel Posts and threads anymore. 10 million a year is way to much money. Product of a system, maybe, he does have talent just not $10 million dollars worth.

Why does it say it's a done deal in Miami for the headline?

prob because he lives in miami and thats where it went down

I didn't even catch that when I read it. I wouldn't be happy if Bill is signing him with 10 Million a year. Thats outrageously high for him in my opinion.

i would be oh so happy if he went somewhere else. could not agree more about benefiting from the talent and scheme around him. he will not be worth whatever huge contract he ends up getting. i hope we end up drafting a CB kind of early to start next to w allen - who has definitely proven himself to be a #1 corner. would be nice if that was a true rumor.

We have the most to spend, yet we don't hear word one about us in any FA circles.

Considering how much money we will need to spend on the first overall pick, I think we should consider trading down....I just have a feeling Jerry Jones is going to move up for the 1st overall pick and make our day. :woot:

Trading out of the first pick is hard to do but I hope your right.
