Some good news on the injury front

He still not going to play because Lazor is an idiot
 
The guy has had 2 surgeries on the same foot. I was happy we drafted him, but now I think we would have been better served drafting a MLB, CB or oline player.
I hope we didn't blow yet another 1 round pick....
Time will tell I guess. He is not helping us now,or changing games...
 
Like to see this kid get on the field. If Miami is gonna open up their passing game, there is no way 17 doesn't benefit from DVP on the field.

You draft DVP because your QB isn't a pinpoint accurate deep ball thrower, so you have a playmaker who was as good as anybody in years at going up to get the ball . . . if you have drafted Devante to be Landry part 2 . . . you've wasted your draft pick.
 
Like to see Parker play more but we need to open up the running game first.

those two don't coincide in my opinion. of course we need to be dedicated to the run but parker should be in over stills if not both together because cameron isn't getting the looks he should.

if he was a second or third round pick it would be way different. he is our top 15 pick and NEEDS to play.

FINALLY!! FINALLY, someone who gets it.

The only thing i would add to this fine post is "IF", tanny will actually throw him the ball more than when he is in a game. Tanny needs to start realizing that its HIS job and HIS investment and that HIS success depends on helping his wr's, especially a talent like Parker to become trusted, productive players. Throwing to them in critical times in a game, talking with them and maybe some off day, one on one work is the way to accomllish that and to build the wr's confidence.

Davante Parker is one of the rare talents who is "open even when he's not open". But, tanny is still trying to prove himself and is int shy. I honestly dont believe he will ever be able to throw to a player like that. Parker is a player who has will be a star on another team written all over him. Another dolphin player who shines as soon as he leaves. Parker wont be super productive unless he has a qb who will throw to him in those "covered" situations.
 
A lot of people were screaming for Denzel Perryman, but I notice when the Chargers lost Te'o at middle linebacker they replaced him in the startig lineup with Conner and not Perryman. Does that make Perryman a bust too? Or maybe it's too early to asses rookie's future.
 
As soon as runs better routes than Mathews he'll take Mathews snaps. Should be too long....:brewskis:

I can't help but think "Yatil Green part 2". I don't want to think this way and I pray I am wrong. It's just the consistent disappointment from this franchise that makes me think this way.
 
So dez bryant can be active in like 6 weeks yet devante now what 3 months post surgery cant get any run? Bull **** i say

If teams are gonna load the middle underneath of the field like the pats did with 2 deep safeties predicated by the down and distance to the sticks and the scoreboard miami needs to get some damn catch radius and size and elite ball tracking ability on the damn field and call plays for it into the 2nd level of the defense either outside the numbers or down the damn seam

these coordinators are getting murdered..
 
If he is out for 3 weeks or more, I would be inclined too put him on IR and make sure he heals up properly. If we lose the next few Games then the season is bunk, so why take the chance of further injury.

Give Hazel a good crack, and see what he has to offer.
 
when you have a qb that won't look downfield it really doesn't matter who is on the outside. hennehill looks for nothing but the underneath crossing routes and when they're covered dumps it to the outlet or gets sacked.

most young qbs get sacked or throw ints because they're trying to hit the big play. ours is an emotionless game manager looking for the safe crap. in so being, everything around him has to be perfect for him to succeed. $96mm says at some point you need to put the team on your back and carry them to victory. when down big like thursday who actually thought he would bring us back?

the pats dared him to beat them and they were right. when opposing teams stack the box your qb has to make them pay. he has to stretch the field to back them up. so tired of all the excuses.
