Some of us tried, repeatedly, to explain to you that you needed to stop looking at year-to-date rankings because they were misleading. You think because your D is #2 and our O is #30, you should win the game. It doesn't work that way.
You didn't lose yesterday because your team has a loser mentality. You lost because your offensive gameplan -- a good plan, I might add -- was to run early and often, then throw in some passing plays, likely off play action. The plan didn't work because your quarterback had a bad day in crappy weather and your receivers somehow forgot how to actually catch a pass.
Your secondary got destroyed on many critical downs, and your second-tier tackling was atrocious. Once we could pass, you had to respect the throw so we were able to suddenly run and kill the clock.
You don't beat NE and Chicago at home, and then lose to the Bills because of a loser mentality. You lost because our team, on all sides of the ball and in the office, is right now, at this moment, better than yours. You got out-coached, out-hustled, and out played. That's why you lost.
You know how I know this? Because when you go to defense rankings after the stats from yesterday are compiled, you'll no longer be #3. And when you go to offensive rankings, we'll no longer be #30. Stats like these mean nothing until the season is over, and most assuredly have absolutely NOTHING to do with whether your team should or should not win a game.
