not to be negative ned but if we go into the season with Alleman as a starter we are going to be in trouble.

why say that mroz? All he's done is a solid job and he's versitale knows every position..i played with him at massillon ohio in high school so i might be bias but the guys crazy..could sign him 4 cheap and not spend big money on vernon i weigh 400 lbs carey

Well we will have the draft and free agency, but to tell ya the truth I will be shocked if Justin is able to start the season next year. You do that much damage to one area of the body where that many bones are broken in one area and almost every time there are mutiple set backs. A healing bone relies on other healthy bones around it to take some of the stress off while it is healing. When everything around it is also broken it takes longer than normal to heal. It may be deep into the season before Justin is able to practice much less play at the level he was playing when it got hurt. At least that would be my medical opinion.

i dont know if anyone said it, but the worst part about smiley's injury is that it was caused by one of our own guys. ndukwe got ***** slapped like a little girl on the play and fell on the back of smiley's leg.

We need a guard really badly going into next year.

Really we need two, I don't understand why everyone has so much faith in Donald Thomas after watching him play for about 7 snaps.

i just can't believe how badly he broke his leg. I didn't realize it was that bad. Ligaments snapping tibula and fibula breaking? OUCH! That must of hurt like hell!

it really disappoints me, god, for someone who relies so much on their legs, its going to be awfully tough for him to come back from something like this. and who knows, he might never be the same if he does come back. so much going on at the line of scrimmage people always on the ground falling around your feet, he might be a little gun shy, and i wouldnt blame him at all

tearing ligaments in the ankle isn't as bad as it sounds. however, tib/fib fractures are horrible injuries, they are actually classified as medical emergencies.

to be honest, i haven't seen the injury. but to be positive, Charles Gordon had his foot turned around (!!!) and the Vikes are hopeful he'll come back. i think we should be hopeful, too.

The problem with snapping all the ligaments and tendons in your ankle is regaining flexibility in the joint. You can do it, but it takes a lot of work. Luckily he has the resources he needs.

Aren't all severe fractures of large bones classified as medical emergencies? I know thigh bones are, because the marrow leaking out can kill you.

according to the article, Smiley broke his thigh as well. the writer used the medical term though: "femur"
