i know that at this point we can only worry about getting under the cap, but some interesting moves i saw on espn. the chiefs cut eric warfiled and dexter mccleon. warfield was pretty well sought after a couple years ago, he's only 29. mccleon is a little older but still a premier name.the jills got rid of lawyer milloy, who is older and past his prime, but also probably at a considerable discount.the panthers dropped stephen davis. depend on the outcome of "as the ricky turns" soap opera, he might be a good second option to ronnie while he develops.looks like alot of teams are releasing players to the retirement home today, but there may be some bargain basement pickups to be had for players that can be plugged right in. p.s. i'll miss sam madison, it was a pleasure watching him play all these years, best of luck to him as long as he doesn't wind up back in the afc.

STAY AWAY FROM MCCLEON!!!! He is terrible, believe me all chiefs fans are celebrating the fact he is gone. You realize that Mccleon wasn't even our dime back by the end of last year. Warfield is a decent #2 corner though.

Yea I live in Tampa and he had the superbowl MVP the only game he showed up for and that landed him a mega contract with the Chiefs. I felt someone didn't do their research on that pick up.

You are thinking of Dexter Jackson, Mccleon played for the rams before following Vermeil here.

I would like to take a look at Warfield but for FS, not CB, Ive heard he could do well there.

We should go after either Sam Adams or Ted Washington to team with Traylor in the middle. Both should be fairly cheap & it'll give Manuel Wright another year to develop.
