NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports trade talks involving DT Kris Jenkins are "heating up" between the Jets and Panthers.
The three-way deal involving Dewayne Robertson, Domonique Foxworth, and Shaun Rogers probably won't go down. If the Jets can acquire Jenkins and keep Robertson, it'd be quite a coup. They'd have the AFC East's second most talented defensive line and remove a lot of stress from their secondary.

In addition to G/C Rex Hadnot, the Texans will host free agent CB Jacques Reeves on Friday.
Reeves, who started several games for Dallas in 2007, wants to stay in the Texas area. The Texans shouldn't overpay for him, however. Reeves could drive up his price tag in a free agent market full of other mediocre corners.

The Browns, Chiefs, and Seahawks are interested in free agent OL Rex Hadnot, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The Texans have a visit with Hadnot scheduled for just after the free agency period begins. Hadnot is believed to be searching for $5 million per year.
Dolphins safeties Renaldo Hill and Cameron Worrell (torn ACLs) are not expected to be ready for Week 1.
Making their secondary an even bigger need. It's a little surprising Hill wasn't part of the Dolphins' winter roster purge with the $2 million he's due.
Citing "sources," the Washington Post reports the Browns will acquire franchise player Corey Williams from the Packers at midnight tonight.
