Daunte Culpepper doesnt fit Cams system at all, it would be a complete repeat of last year where the offense was calling for Cpep to make quick smart throws and he was looking to hit the deep ball all the time, it just doesnt fit together. Trent Green has worked in the offense and is the best fit, and the best part is he will teach that offense to John Beck, the Dolphins are set for the next decade if this all works out like it is being planned. I really dont get the negatives here.

the dolphins should easily go 10-6 in 07

Sorry to burst your bubble but the offense is the same as Linehans.

yea because phillip rivers and drew brees were throwing deep bombs all day in San Diego :err:

I'm tired of the doesn't fit the system stuff, it really has no basis when you consider that Cam has said you build the offense around what your players do well.

You telling me he ran the same offense at Indiana with Randle El at QB as he did in San Diego? No he didn't. Of course he has a style and type of player he wants, but to say Daunte can't get rid of the ball quickly is stupid. You don't become one of the most accurate passers in NFL history just throwing deep balls. The game in Pitt last year was a great example of Daunte checking down and making reads, unfortunately he wasn't healthy enough to run or create any other plays.

21 sacks in 4 games...... his quick release is unmatched

Thats a pretty weak example considering all the factors, the Line was playing awful, guys werent getting open much like there werent ALL year long regardless of which QB was playing, and the third and most important, his knee wasent healed and the guy couldnt move and im not talking about running around, you could see in his drop back how bad his knee was, the guy couldnt take 5 steps drops and set up to throw in the 3 to 4 second window QB's have

The only thing Daunte has done well over the last two years is be hurt and fumble and do statue imitations when he has played.

I think Joey Porter and Troy Polamalu would disagree with that statement. Both of their interceptions were on balls that should have never been thrown. I'm only going to assume it's because Daunte misread the presnap set. It's one thing to think you can fit it into a hole and have a belief in your arm strength and throw and INT and just not knowing what the hell you're looking at and throwing the ball into someone's lap. When he wasn't laying on his *** last year (Sometimes due to an inadequate O-Line and others because of he'd spend precious moments trying to read the defense after the snap.) then he looked lost and bumfuzzled while trying to search out an open receiver.

Sorry, but you have zero football IQ if you honestly believe that. Why do you think the sacks vanished once Joey came in? Or how we no longer needed to be in max protect once DC was benched and McMichael was actually able to go out for a pass or two? As well, the injury was a facade. Daunte was benched because of his brain--not his knee. The sooner Dolphin fans realize that the better.

Seriously, the Culpepper apologists need to get a clue already. How one collective of people can be so ignorant for so long is beyond me.

P.S.- We stopped running Linehan's system the minute Linehan left Miami. The only thing that stayed the same was the terminology, and even then the big ****** couldn't make a play unless he had a full 20 seconds in the pocket.

It's not stupid Alex.
It's something he's always had a problem with.
You obviously are a fan of his and are upset by this move but it dosen't change the problems Daunte does have.

He had the same issues at UCF where they had to make concessions in their gameplanning and scheme so he could be successful. These issues are nothing new. He just had the mobility before to extend plays and take advantage of coverage breakdowns.

2 pretty respected individuals around NFL circles came together to make this decision on him not being ready or able to direct this offense the way they want it run. That should tell you something.

Considering i played D-1AA football i think i have a pretty good football IQ, The reason the sacks vanished when Daunte was benched if because of a few reasons, 1) Harrington was more moble, 2) After 4 Games the Line started to GEL a little, to expect a line with 4 new starter (i say 4 because of LJ Shelton at LT and the 3 different guys at right Guard) to play we on day 1 your crazy and it showed, after 4 games they started to play a little better and its not just because Daunte was benched it was because they had 4 games under their belts. and 3) When Harrington came in they finally adusted the offensive scheme to accomdate for the weakness of the line, Every pass Harrington threw in that Pat's game was a dink and dunk, and it was that was for the rest of they year, it was all quick passes, and it Culpeppers knee wasent an issue why did he require another knee surgury that he is still rehabbing to this day? Maybe your the one with no Football IQ

Let's look Daunte's O-Line, shall we?

From LT to RT: L.J. Shelton, Jeno James, Rex Hadnot, Bennie Anderson, Vernon Carfey.

Now look at Joey's.

From LT to RT: Damion McIntosh, Kendyl Jacox, Rex Hadnot, L.J. Shelton, Vernon Carey.

Joey obviously had a better O-line.
