Im getting sick and tired of all those "Fins may release Ricky" threads.

Not sure who gave Schefter this dumb idea or if someone is simply trying to stir the pot, but what a ridiculously dumb idea.

The same could be said for any of our other good players. Ricky played his heart out, all you have to do is go back and look at the wildcat play vs. New England and see how he lunged his body to sacrifice himself for a block.....

Then theres a rumor we may go after Derrick Ward whom would be cheaper than Ricky....Isn't he the same Derrick Ward that is always getting injured?

In this league you need to good RB's and we have them in Ricky and Ronnie, why would we want to give that up???

Ricky is a proven winner. And winners are needed on this team to make this team better.

Nobody is wishing Ricky get released we all love him. Im just a big a fan as you, but truth is that Shefter is never wrong and would have not mentioned the rumor is there was no truth to it.

I love Ricky but it's the nature of the business. If you can get younger, comparitive ability at a cheaper price you have to consider it.

I've been hoping that the Dolphins would cut Ricky Williams for five years now. I would be happy with Cobbs and a young kid as the backup running backs.

Why the H would we cut him? We could trade him for a him pick very easily in this market. With Jacobs off the market and Fred Taylor likely to be signed immediately Ricky has value.

By all accounts Ricky was a good teammate and a good team player last year, but his track record is that it's proven difficult for him to have two smooth offseasons in a row. If the Fins got word that he hasn't been behaving himself--through the league office or otherwise--you'd hear that they were interested in another RB before you'd hear the reasons why.

If that's not the case, and I hope it isn't, then it could be the times Ricky broke into the clear last year he didn't do as much with the opportunity as he has in the past. The time to begin looking for an upgrade, from the franchise's standpoint, is when you start to notice things like that, not after it's too late.

Ward is a great back and would be an awesome complement to Ronnie because his skills are so different. As much as defenses differ from each other, sometimes one runner's style will be more successful than the other, so having complementary backs makes good sense. FWIW, the jets are still kicking themselves that they let Ward slip through their fingers. Don't think they haven't noticed the SB ring on his finger.

Man i so hope hes gone!U are his #1 fan and im the #1 sticky icky ricky hater!Im sorry if any of you dont like my opion but i will be so happy when ricky is a Dolphin no more.Say what you will but when ricky quit on us I quit on him!Im not going to say i dont root for him cuz I root for anyone wearing a Dolphins helmet but I could care less about ricky williams and he could care less about you and I or the Miami Dolphins.Hes only playing football cuz he has 17 kids to feed and he needs money to get more weed!

Tricky Ricky is the man PERIOD. He won't be cut, and he will finish out his career here as a Dolphin. Sporano loves him and so does the Tuna.

Watch how he lights it up next season with the reinvigorated line.

he's not going anywhere
As I recall, Parcells signed him to an extension at a very cheap price. His agent wasn't even informed. So if the contract is dolphin friendly, and Ricky keeps away from the ganja, he is good depth at rb and Parcells liked his work ethic. Also, I remember reading last year that he looked great in training camp and was set to have a good year.
