Some posts within the last hour or 2 on the Denver board. The types of comments are uncannily familiar to the flack Henne gets around here. Will this make you think twice about Orton, maybe breathing a sigh of relief, or cling on too the misplaced belief that a bunch of similarly knowledgable Bronco fans are wrong about Orton while you're right about Henne?

Orton's staying put.
Hopefully Tebow sends his butt to the bench. Just go out and win that spot now Mr. Tebow.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, guess that also means we won't be able to outbid for Mebane, Jenkins or any worthwhile DT either.
This team will blow again this year. I guess I'll just hope Orton can lose 14 games for us and we get Andrew Luck next year. Thats the only silver lining being played out IMO
xactly. Nobody wants him/wants to give up anything of value for him.
That should tell the Orton Parrots something!
Maybe they actually watch game film and situational football rather than simply look at stats. Maybe they know our defense's problem was partly due to KO's 3 & outs?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
what a surprise. No one wants Orton. I cant believe it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The tough thing about winning the spot is KO is the PERFECT QB for no contact practice football. He's the prototype QB I would pick for taking a snap from a coach and hitting wide open WRs down field w/fans watching on the side of the practice field.
It's hard to take his spot in practice....he could give Tom Brady a run in NE if it was based on that. Then he plays with the first team in preseason which has no real implications on players position unless someone's play is remarkably bad or good.
So, getting in games and real football is the trick. It's a completely different world then.

That is a great attitude and all.. good for you for accepting whatever comes down.
The deal is , however, that by using Kyle "Stopgap" Orton, the team is stalling it's own development.
It puts us further behind.
Playing Orton is a sideways move... instead of a forward move.
Keeping the lid on the future ( Tebow) is like
having a great steak on the grille...
that is close to done... but not quite cooked yet...
and instead of concentrating on the steak cooking...
and us getting set to serve a really quality meal...
with medium rare sirloin and fine wine...
we are serving the guests burnt hotdogs and Mountain Dew (Orton)..
just because we already have them and dont want to waste food.
I mean... it will feed you right NOW.. right?
---------------------------------------------------
-Why didn't we just accept a 4? Its Kyle Orton.
---------------------------------------
When you cant sustain a drive, cant get first downs and go 3 and out every time until the defense starts playing prevent, our defense doesnt stand a chance.
Orton is really good at keeping our defense on the field all game.
----------------------------------------------
If Elway wants to win right now, he will do anything to trade or release Orton.
If he wants us to scream for his head, he will keep number 8.
Man and I wanted to win this year.
Im NOT confident with Orton as our QB.
