FISH STORY

For the Dolphins to move on after Ricky Williams, they need to stop flirting with bringing back Ricky Williams. Let the Ronnie Brown Era begin – Brown is a better all-around back than Williams ever was and is capable of producing "Ricky stats" as a rookie.

The team also must overhaul its aging defense. Ex-Dolphins defensive backs Sammy Knight and Patrick Surtain are good players but have lost a valuable step and thus ended up in Kansas City. The players must trust new czar Nick Saban, even if it means reducing the roles of and/or cutting former Pro Bowl players Zach Thomas and Junior Seau. Along with Brown, Saban had a good draft of defenders to help his cause. End Matt Roth, linebacker Channing Crowder and cornerback Travis Daniels all are critical elements of Saban's rebuilding effort – which could take three years.

14. Miami Dolphins – Believe it or not, Ricky Williams and his physical running style could actually make him the starter again by midseason, especially if Ronnie Brown can't get the tough inside yardage that coach Nick Saban will demand. A.J. Feeley or Gus Frerotte? Is there really a correct answer to that question?

ok. i agree ronnie will be very good. but ricky was flat out amaxing for us at one point. to say ronnies gonna have 1800 yards this year is a little far fetched.

It depends on what your definition of Ricky numbers is. You went with his best (and only) great season. Some might go with his last season (1372 yds 3,8 ypc). You could use his avg. (1270yds) + his rec. avg. (361).

He might be "able" to put up Ricky numbers but I doubt he will this year especially since he won't be carrying the load that Ricky has the last to years. I also think it is a little to early to say he is a better all-around back without him even playing a snap.

Wow he really went out on a limb with those rankings. They look to be about the same as last years standings.

RW was only average as a receiver out of the backfield. RB is definitely better in that regard and he's a step faster. Those points are obvious if you saw him in college. RW, however, is probably a better pure runner.

I think they are scared. he he. You got ricky in the backfield at a resumed weight of 230 (he will be ready by game 5) and ronnie brown in motion, what the hell is a LB to do, let alone a CB or S? They have no clue where he will go becuase he can go deep. I believe ronnie will go deep early and often and then they will dump it off to him when they back off. that means Ricky could run wild and Chris Chambers will enjoy CB's who are ten yards off the ball. Its really a no brainer people! I believe Nick Saban is a genius!

No doubt we will have a great backfield.
the key to our success will be how well will both the OL and DL perform.
I'm counting on the couching to be the big diference maker.
