If the Dolphins really wanted re-assign personnel decisions away from the head coach to a personnel specialist, wouldn't they have already made their intentions public in an announcement to the press. Didn't Mr. Huizenga ask for help from the media? That same media which clamours for a delegation of scouting duties? Also, why wouldn't the Dolphins officially announce who they're considering for the position?

Pete Carroll, in a press conference after his vacation, mentioned the Dolphins offered him complete control...

It's Huizenga's franchise and he can run it into the ground if he wants. I have no idea who they'll hire but they absolutely must not give complete control to their new coach.

Your thoughts? Will the Dolphins eventually give all the power to the HC?

It sure dosent look like it when you take into account that they have had Randy Mueller head the search because if the new coach was gonna have full control he would be able to pick a GM and Mueller would know this so he would tend to be bias towards who he thought would retain him and the dolphins know this and that is why its the first time in along time that The Gm is as activly involved in the search.

I think that wayne is in it to win it, and is determined to do just that.......he wont make a bad decision, i believe in him.

If its Mora or Gailey, I doubt they would be given total control.

Why shouldnt complete control be given to the coach? if the coach cant get the job done fire him and get anew one? Just exactly why do you have to have a personnel weinie any way? Because hes gotta degree? degrees dont win ball games, talent does, if the coach aint got what it takes hire a coach who does. That i believe is why its taking so long.:tantrum:
