*well were 1-6 and headed for a top 3 pick so let me ask you this, how many times is a team in positon for a top 3 pick and a player like brady quinn available? not very often! imo quinn will be a manning, brady type of player maybe not as good but up there in the top qb's inthe nfl, watching brady pick the vikings apart last night with no stars at wr or oline made me sick! so how long are we going to put IT off? IT being sucking it up and drafting a gd qb! we have suffered long enough with the likes of feidler, felley, huard, sage, lucas, frerotte, harrington! when will this team wake up and draft a qb! the giants and chargers did heck buffalo did even though he sucks they tried! successful teams draft franchise qb's!! yes we have cpepp and were paying him $$$$ but draft quinn and let him sit for a year, if quinn is gone we have to go with c.johnson.

*I heard that dwight freeney is a FA could you imagine him and taylor? i know he is a 4-3 rush end but damn that would be a scary!

*I was reading my 06 draft book last night and read that rod wright was a 1-2 round prospect? thats pretty good value if he comes back healthy, can he contribute to the d-line next year?

*wes welker and donnie jones, I think we need to re-sign these guys asap, welker does not need to hit free agency, take some of that money chambers and mcmike are making and pay the best player on our team!

*o-line: is vernon carey the only one worth keeping? he is the only one I dont hear bad stuff about.

finally please i dont care that we have dc he is what 31 and his career will probably last maybe 2-3 years as an effective qb after that he'll be 34 with major knee injury.now i dont know about you but that doesnt sit well with me we need to draft brady quinn he can sit behind dc for a year or two and bam we have a better version of phillip rivers in the mold of tom brady and carson palmer. we need a qb who can win us a game not one who has to worry anbout not losing it great teams draft franchise qb's thats funny last time we took a chance and a qb in the draft his name was um wait let me think oh ya DAN MARINO 23 years ago

Dante at 100% healthy is still dumb as a brick,If you get
the chance at Quinn, take him.It will soon be a decade since Dan was here and we keep trying the trades, leftovers and such...its time to do it right...draft our own.

Amen to that.

We have to take Quinn if he is avalible. I would keep Pep and start him next year and have Quinn learn. If Dante plays like this year, start Quinn when he is comfortable.

A voice of reason...Even though I would draft Quinn,trade
Pep (3rd rounder) and go with joey until Quinn was ready,
plus develope a offense suited for a smart QB that can
make fast choices.

no way I would let him "learn" behind Culpepper, we should dump Culpepper and his salary, play Joey next year then his contract is up and Quinn ready to step in, much cheaper that way.

Well, thats just a well thought out analysis. :shakeno: I agree with the taking of Quinn if available though.

Why is everyone sold on Quinn being the next great QB? Did anyone see him before Weiss? If you are going to take a QB that high you really either have to take the Rivers/Palmer/McNair route and sit him until hes ready. If a rookie QB was handed the reigns of this mess of an offense it would be a disaster. More often than not rookie QBs that are asked to be saviors of bad teams end up as failures.

I say let Daunte play for us at full strength first. I love the idea of having our own drafted QB and really like Quinn but Daunte han't really had his chance yet IMO and thanks to our brilliant highest paid coaching staff we may nbot get to see the real Daunte till next year.

you are dreaming if you think he's gonna be any better when he's healthy, what you saw the first 4 games is all you will get.

I'm sorry I didn't know miss cleo was around and could prove me wrong with her predictions.:shakeno: You know no more than me but Daunte was forced in too early IMO and our coaches while the highest paid are making decisons like a bunch of Idiots.

Would agree here mostly! The question though is do you spend a very high pick on Quinn - a player who will sit for at least a year. We have had 3 relatively bad seasons in a row including last year - at what point do we have to start playing for now. I would trade C-Pep also - a 3rd is reasonable but I don't see Saban making the move because of the grief he would get. I think he is tied to C-Pep now. I hope I am wrong there. IF we are in the top 5 in the draft we HAVE to trade down no matter what the value is. We need MANY picks not just 1 high one you have to overpay for. Get 2 starters in the 1st rd. At what point do we pick up an OLB or DE in the draft that is a game changer. When has that happened last? JT?
