Okay so we have an elite Dt and all of a sudden a bunch of below average linebackers and corners will be magically good.
Not to mention we will get so many more qb sacks due to the emphasis on blocking him. Three straight weeks cant stop the run and minimal qb pressure is that the Suh effect.

Also can a mod change my damn affect to effect damn

Apparently it's when he joins your team and makes the entire defense disappear

I think the defense problem is that a few of them hang out in manhatten while the other guys are sitting on the floor

It's almost like a science experiment. When the Suh effect collides with the Philbin/Coyle effect, it's completely nullified.

This is what happens when your offseason consists of one big signing while ignoring OL, LB and CB.

I'll explain it to you...Pay an inordinate amount to Suh...ignore all the actual holes on this team....keep the most incompetent coaching staff in the entire NFL around for the sake of "continuity"....BOOM you have 15'

I think the Coyle affect overrules the Suh affect.

It still requires moderately capable DC, LBs, and DEs. We have none of that. Wake is past his prime, Vernon is overrated and cost himself millions, and Coyle...well, does that really need explained. When a team can TRIPLE team him...yes, TRIPLE team. I don't think I've ever seen that.

But yes, stick to Game Center in your judgements of him. There is a reason that Detroit defense is absolute **** now. And have no doubt that if he was anywhere with a halfway competent DC, it would immediately be a top ten defense.

it doesnt matter if the coaching is ****. And that should explain why he was an auto pilot last week and calling his own plays.

Its very simple pay a ton of money to Suh then act like you had this awesome offseason in free agency by signing one guy on defense. Ignore LB and CB and you have this mess of a defense.
Suh by himself does not make a defense elite. Watt is the best defensive player in all of football and its not close and Houston does not have an elite defense not even close. The whole time that Suh was in Detroit they had an elite defense exactly one year , every other year it was a very average defense at best. Also lets not mention ignoring OL in free agency. One guy does not make a free agency.

Not really. This is what happens when you keep an over their head coaching staff around for 4 years.

I see all this criticism of Tanny and some of it is deserved and some of it can be blamed on the oline or whatever. People talk about how we shouldn't have paid Tanny, but his contract is pretty middle of the road for a middle of the road qb. Suh on the other hand is getting paid like one of the best dlineman in history and he has a total of 7 tackles in 3 games. Anytime he's single teamed he should be winning that battle with the amount of money he's being paid but he almost never does. We all watched him in week 1 get stuff time after time by a ROOKIE. This has nothing to do with the other linemen or the linebackers. This is him going against another lineman one on one and getting stopped almost every time its happened.
