Someone please tell me the Odds of getting Brees

I'm not the most fimilar with the financial aspect of the NFL and all of this CBA business. All I know is from forum reaction it ain't good, what I'm asking is.. Is obtaining Drew Brees an impossibility? Or have our chances been severely hurt? This is not good, I see Ramsey posts and start to :boohoo:I don't want Ramsey or Dante neither of them will do jack squat for us, and we're goin on year 6 of these half-*** QB wannabes. Someone please tell me we still have a good shot for Brees.

has not changed and is probably going to happen, frerotte counts 5 mil towards the cap so brees can get that money instead.

If we give Brees a 4 year contract worth with a minimum salarly this year raising 30% the next 3, with a $15 million signing bonus, you are only looking at a $4-5 million cap hit this season.

Gus's $4+million dollars will help if we cut him. However if we get Drew Brees that's it for free agency impact players. Still it should be our priority and we can then turn our attention to the draft.

My guess is that he'll be a Charger at the start of next season.

All things are possible, what Nick and company have to decide is if the move to get Brees will be in the best long term interests of this team. I'm hoping they see it that way.
