why so many of you on here support a guy who may have been the worst opening day starter we have ever had.

Any Daunte fan tell me one thing you liked about HIS PLAY in a phins uni. Don't give me character or battling or he was injured. I just want someone to point out one thing he did well as a player in Miami.

Now, if there is one orginazation that is stupid enough to waste money on Culpepper it may be Oakland. They have a nice run of horrible decisions going and this could cap it off. They may actually be stupid enough to start him. I really hope they are. I would love to see him start and they play us opening day. Our D would have 4 or 5 sacks in the first half, force a couple fumbles and picks. You guys thought our OL was bad, take a look at theirs. Our OL was pretty good btw. Quit blaming Culpeppers bad play on them.

Also the Faiders will draft Russel even if they sign Culpepper. And whoever suggested trading Moss for Culpepper stop playing Madden already. Even the Faiders arent that stupid. Can't wait for Porter to end his career.

i still think he has something left but i believe they are gonna release him cuz they ARE picking up green and they cant afford them both. so i heard oak is looking at culpepper with moss. might do something there. carr then probably will go to minn and miami will get a Franchise QB in the First with either Russel or Quinn. calvin will go to oak cuz they have a QB with peper and det may take one of the QB or thomas and browns will take AP for sure so no other team will take a QB until miami. so it looks very good that we will get a franchise QB.

Its seems obvious, at least to me, that Mueller and Cameron know something about Culpepper that we don't know. Thats JMO and I may be wrong. Culpepper's knee may not be responding the way they hoped or they may have decided it may never be 100%. Without Culpeppers mobility he will never be the same QB he was before the injury. I remember Marino wore a knee brace for much of his career and that could be a real problem for DC.

Marino had a different injury from what Culpepper had. That's my problem with the Dolphins is that they don't ever stick with anything. We don't know how good Ronnie Brown is because we've never just stuck with him the whole season we always spell him and mess with his carries. We don't know how good Culpepper could be this year because we haven't let him have the opportunity. I don't see why Cameron doesn't just sit on his hands with the QB thing. Draft a QB next month, maybe Stanton in the second or third round, let Culpepper play. If Culpepper fails, he wasn't Cameron's guy anyway. But if Culpepper does get healthy and we cut him we're going to look like idiots. Just once I'd like to see us actually stick with something.

And don't bash on Culpepper too much. Worst opening day starter ever? Consider the fact that for over 30 years we had two Hall of Famers line up at starter for this franchise and we're only 42 years old. That's a really disengenuous statement. In terms of ability Culpepper is better than Fiedler and Frerotte, he was injured last year. And I'd like to see anyone that can't move laterally try to function behind that O-line at the beginning of last year. What gets me if Culpepper should've never been playing in the first place. So you're bashing him for being out there unhealthy when it was Saban's call to put him out there. I don't agree with you at all. It seems like you just feel like being negative.

Daunte Culpepper is the worst QB we've run out there on opening day? Really? He was worse off than Jay Fiedler or Gus Frerotte?

How can anyone prove their worth within four games? Look at Peyton Manning's first four games. Not good. Or many other QBs out there. How about the many QBs who started off well in their first 4 games, but faltered? We don't know what we have with this guy.

Our OL was good? If they were so good then why did we let half of them go in FA without even a move to resign them? BTW they didn't even become half way decent until after the Shelton move to RG and the McIntosh move to LT, BTW which was after Daunte was out.

Cool nickname for the Raiders, you just decide to put an F in front of Aiders?

How on Earth can you compare Manning's rookie season with what Daunte did last season, his 8th season?

All we have to do is look at what was expected of Daunte, and it didnt happen.

To be honest, unless Culpepper is a member of this website, not a single one of us knows anything about where he's at regarding his health. Speculation aside, we know NOTHING....

Imo Daunte Culpepper is the most loved player to never do anything in a dolphins uniform. I also am intrested to know what the infatuation with him is. Cam and Randy are both proven Qb talent evaulators and seem to be looking in a new direction ,but still people would rather look past their judgements and stay loyal to Daunte. What drives this extreme loyalty?

I laff at all the people that assume he is not healthy or that the staff knows something we don't.... yea the answer is he sucks. healthy or not cam/mueller do not want him...

So because you set your expectations unrealistically high, that means he sucks?

Please don't read anything else into what I wrote. I never said he sucks. I said he didn't meet expectations. And not my expectations, the organization's expectations. They expected him to produce, and he didn't. Simple as that.

In all the years of watching the Dolphibns (22) I have never seen a QB take more sacks, fumble more and make poor throws and reads than Culpepper.
He was putrid. That's the facts on his play last year.
Cameron knows he isn't the QB that can run an intelligent offense.

I just love how some people on here know everything there is to know about the organization. Further... I love when they actually go into great detail and tell you exactly how things are going to turn out with a bunch of unrealistic moves that have no chance whatsoever of coming to fruition.

damn I can't wait til something actually happens and we don't have all this speculation anymore.

everybody tells you everyday what cam is going to do and it hasn't happened yet.

I'm a DC supporter and I think he deserves just one more shot at it. I believe that he screwed up by saying that he guaranteed he would play in the first game of 06. Daunte just wanted to prove everybody wrong including Childress (Vikings head coach) and unfortunately he wasn't anywhere near 100% by the start of the season therefore rushing his recovery. The reason there are many DC supporters is because Culppeper was acutually one of the best QBs in the NFL before his injury. This is something that we haven't had since Marino. Unfortunately, all you DC bashers are "what have you done for me lately" fans and not the type of fans that back-up a player that plays for your favorite team no matter what. You should also take into consideration that are current Fins players want him under center next year. Hmmm, maybe because they feel exactly the same way we DC supporters feel and that is that we feel that DC hasn't showed us what he can really do which is be at 100% and possibly be a top 5 QB like he used to be.
