Somethign tells me things wont work out in...FA

I dont konw but I have a feeling things wont work out for us in FA this year. We have the money but seems ilke all the good ones will get tagged with Fran. What do we do after taht? we are F-ed again for another year. Hutch. Bentley, and Broush? or hwoever is name is will prob. get tagged and those are the players we NEED in those pos. on the line. Clement will prob be tagged as well. All i see is Julain Peterson (btw, he was tagged iwht it this year so I'm sure he iwll be gone this coming offseason n have a good hunch that Saban will go after him), woodson and R. Wayne as the only "needs" open to us. The draft will not get us our needs/rebuilt portion of the team due to not many picks in the 1-4. honestly dont care about the 7th rounders as it is usually the crap of the draft. (i know there have been good players comin out in the 6th and so on but im not interested in those late picks right now). what do you guys see happening?

Btw, what about winfield? weren't there rumors abotu him being traded? if so..why not RW and a stupid pick for him?

No that was mcgee that got an extension not clement...but on kffl the other day it did say that Buffalo is gonna tag clement with the franchise tag next year.
 
Nick will get his players. He knows how to do it, look what he did this off-season.
 
Most good players never hit the FA market anyways. Like it or not, the team has to be built through the draft.
 
yea and the draft right now isn't soo comforting right now as we only have 3 picks in day one and thats only 3 pos. to help us out in...NOT ENOUGH. lets say qb off line and defense are day one...whats next? we have 2 more pos. left to address on the off line if we select one in draft and the def. hsa many more as the off. would be ok with our qb, off line, a fb and MAYBE one wr.
 
I was thinking the same thing. It seems like the guys that will be available are the ones that are aging and probably want too much money (ala Ty Law). I have a hard time believing we would even go after Clement if he is not tagged. If we want an aging, high priced corner, why did we get rid of Pat?
 
If and its a big if we can get solid qb, a OL(hopefully tackle) and a cb on day 1 I think we will vastly improve our team. Our Wrs are pretty good but not gamebreakers. But if we had a qb that can get the ball to them consistently they are sufficent. obviously a qb cant get the ball out to the WRs with the kind of protection they are getting this year but if we get a tackle to go with mcintosh on the other side, move Carey to guard we will have a nice group for houck to work with. draft a cover corner and get another corner on day 2 or as a FA and let madison play safety or cover the slot receiver. That would take care of the secondary with Poole hopefully coming back from injury(but you cant count on him keeping his speed after a bad injury have to wait and see). Schulters, Bell, Jones at safety. but like i said its a big IF. How many day 1 QBs have we seen bomb in the NFL.

Most teams only have 3 picks on day one. You have to make trades to get more. Day two players aren't bad either if you know who to pick.

Yes...He signed old players to one year contracts. Impressive.

exactly. I dont know i like this guy a lot cuz he doesn't seem to waste time with players that arne't performing well but the way we are looking and the FA is looking, thigns dont look all to well for us.
 
there might be a couple of good free agents but if we get a qb like leinart or quinn in da draft and get a decent cb then were in da playoffs next year.but most importantly get rid of reggie howard.
 
there will be a lot of FA OL after the season. Don't be surprised if we solve OL woes in FA get QB and CB in draft.
