First, the Tannehill injury sucks ass! Let me get that out of the way! However, after a stinker last week in Baltimore the team came out and responded very well in a MEANINGFUL DECEMBER game. Then Tannehill goes down, the air is let out of the entire stadium, the D gives up a 99 yard TD drive, another TD and a 2 point conversion to tie the game and our back up QB is coming in.

We could have responded in a lot of ways here! We come out and Moore hit a couple of passes and there was a blatant illegal contact and PI not called and we have to punt. The game is looking pretty bad! Then, the rain gods start to release the hounds, and so did our D! We got a much needed stop, Moore hit some key passes including getting rid of the ball to stills that could have been an 8-10 yard loss and made a FG much more difficult. Of course, we are the Dolphins so Moore gets stepped on and Williams almost runs out the clock, just to age us all 10 years....and then Franks, who we were all like OH CRAP hits the game winner!

Point is, we responded after adversity from last week and then late in this game to win a key December game with playoff implications. Moore comes in and leads a game winning drive which was HUGE! If he doesn't lead us there I think our mindset going in to Saturday's game against the Jets would have been bad. I also think we lose this game with our teams and coaches over the last 7 years!

Losing Tanne sucks, but I love how we responded!

Well said sir, thank the Lord, the defense, and Moore we came out of there with a win.

You make a good point. Despite the crap conditions that team was controlling the game before RT went out and pulled it out at the end.

This was a meaningful December game and we didn't shrink.

I'm good with Moore at QB, solid back up. Feel like he needs to go at least 2-1 down the stretch. 3-0 would be huge

Definitely would have been a double whammy with a loss of Tanne and the game, especially after Denver lost!

MM would start in Clevland, NY Jets, Chicago, and other teams in the league. I have no problem with him at the reigns. Let hope the staff does not put the cuffs on the offense.

We have to be more consistent on offense with Moore at QB because he can't make the throws in to the tight windows down the field that Tanne can. Moore does throw a pretty deep ball, so maybe Stills gets a couple shots and maybe Moore can do a better job selling the screen pass, which we have been horrible at!

The upside is this team can now go all out...take chances to win games.

Nobody expects Matt Moore to lead this team into the playoffs...they get to play the underdog with nothing to lose.

One game at time....all out effort...good coaching and gameplans.

Win a Super Bowl with Matt Moore and they'll build Gase a statue next to Shula his first season. Just make the playoffs and he'll win coach of the year. Just miss the playoffs and he'll be lauded for a turnaround from 1-4. Lose the last three to finish 8-8 and he'll have given the franchise a future with a lot of potential to look forward to.

There's really no losing situation for us as Miami fans going forward. Just need Ryan to hit rehab like the tough sob he already is while picking up key defensive pieces in the draft. And maybe some guards.

This season is already a success, and you saw it today with the way this team responded after a drubbing last week in December. We hit a home run with Adam Gase.

Well put. And to the OP, also well stated.

MM, in case any have forgotten, has won in this league. He didn't drive a team deep into the playoffs, but he does well in stretches. The Offense, overall, is good enough to win with MM at QB. And we should be getting some injured folks back over the next few weeks (thank GOD we only have the Stej this week...ya it's a division game, but rather that than NE...let MM get his sea legs).

2 out of the next 3 is not an impossible scenario...I'm kind of counting on it. Any less and we miss the dance, in all likelihood. I see a W @ Stej, tough/tight loss @ Buff, and a home win to close out the season against the Cheaters (which seems to be tradition these days).

Just need Denver to drop a couple (totally within reason) and Baltimore to lose a couple (also, totally within reason).

Git'r'dun Dolphins!

All hope is not lost. The Dolphins had a Hall of Fame QB in Bob Griese go down early in the season, and he returned at the end ... but their backup QB won most of the games during the Undefeated Season. Nobody ever said Earl Morral was better or even as good as Griese ... but when the HoF'er went down, that team did NOT fold. It made history against all odds.

This brings them to 6-1 at Home this season. It is about time we play strong at home and have some type of home field advantage and the stadium seems louder then it has in years. I know it has some to do with the new top that helps keep the noise in. The fans look more enthused and into the game then I have seen in previous years.

Its been years since we had this good of a home record.

I still don't know how Ajai didn't get credit for recovering that fumble. On the other hand I did think the INT was the right call. The 99 yard drive pissed me off more - called a penalty on every play.
