The guy just looks like he's not happy out there. I've defended Chambers on many many occasions, but I don't know, maybe all of the lack of production by our offense over the years is really starting to get to him. I've never seen him drop so many passes in a short amount of time, and when he does he looks like he doesn't care(not saying he doesn't care, but that's just what it seems like to me). Am I the only one that gets the feeling that Chris just doesn't seem to be into it anymore and is just kinda going through the motions???

Saban has to get him focused if you are right.

I hope to God I'm not right, and it's just that he had 2 bad games, and that's all. Which BTW is probably what it is and I'm just getting nervous about him....... (I Hope)

Maybe after playing with such poor QB's like Fiedler / Feeley for so long, he's simply not use to getting hit in the hands with nice passes......

PHINZ RULE!!!

I don't think he's been like that all. He's shown genuine frustration after dropped passes or when the offense is struggling. Chris Chambers is a character guy who puts the team first. He never complained once about crappy QB's or the offense running the ball too much.

yeah.. that's it...ugh:rolleyes:

He is a very good wide out, with an average QB and Line.
We can call him excellent when he puts up elite numbers.
I think Booker has had an improving grade and Chambers is static, neither pos or neg.
I think he is motivated.

Maybe this is just his 2 ****ty games for the year ?

Most players have a bad run of form at sometime in their career in any sports. Maybe this us just his time for a bad run :(

Chambers has never seemed to have the concentration necessary to be a true star WR. He has physical talent, but he is lacking something mentally. Maybe he ought to ask Jerry Rice to coach him in the offseason or something.

That's what happens when you're paid like a top-5 WR in the league before you've even become a legitimate number one receiver on your team. You hit "cruise control" pretty quick.

The mental thing he's lacking is what separates Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson from players like Derrick Coleman, and what separates players like Michael Irvin and Terrell Owens from players like Chambers and Curtis Conway. It's the WILL to take over a game by oneself. It's the ability to step it up a notch and WANT the ball in crunch time to help your team win. Chambers has shown me none of that, and if I'm paying a guy like a top-5 player at his position, he better have some of that. Rick Spielman made yet another mistake here.

He may put team first, but Wes Welker probably does that too at 5 million dollars less per year. He better do that and a lot more to warrant his salary.

All I know is that Saban has to find us a deep threat WR next year. Chambers is way too inconsistent...to the point now where we can't even rely on him for a routine catch.

Didn't he lose a fumble in the 1st game?
