Everyone talks about the pass rush and how the defense had sacked Brady so many times. And yes that is probably the most beautiful sight I have ever seen in my young life. :D
But, one of the biggest factors that played the Patriots right into the Giants' hands is that they stopped Maroney from running over them (other than that first kick return). They did a great job stopping the run. On more than one occasion they stopped Maroney for a loss, putting the Pats in 2nd/3rd and long. As a result, the Pats abandoned the run. Since all the Pats did was pass, THAT opened up the flood gates for Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, and the rest of the front 7 to pulverize Brady. Remember in the Chargers game, the defense did decently to keep Brady in check (e.g. 3 INTS), but Maroney ran all over them and pretty much equalized their defense and took much of the burden off Tom Brady.

The first half was one of the most entertaining "7-3" halves I have ever watched. Watching the Giants flat out stop the Patriots on every occassion except one was just amazing. I swear, I was in tears after that last DRILLING of Brady. That has to be one of the most beautiful endings to a game I have ever seen.

The pass rush was still the biggest factor. The Patriots were so good because they had excellent protection for Brady. The Giants were able to get quick pressure with their front four which won the game. They had Brady so rattled that even when he did get the ball out on time, he was over or under throwing his receivers. Thats basically the same way the Dolphins have always been competitive with the Pats (prior to this season). Brady plays a lot less impressive when he doesn't have all day in the pocket.

What won the game was one play nobody is talking about.

Bradshaw fumbled, the Pats recovered it and tiny little Bradshaw dug into the pile and wrestled the ball back from a monster DL-man. That saved and won the game.

Good point. Im not sure if it was ruled a fumble but on another play Manning looked like he fumbled and recovered it with his legs.
Also, the Giants receivers deserve a lot of credit. Toomer with that deep catch along the sidelines, Smith being a 3rd down beast, Burress for the winning TD, and of course, David Tyree.

Sacks - 5
QB knocked down - 9
QB hurry - 21

the DL should have been the MVP.
