I know he has really messed up his once promising career at this point in time, but haven't we all had periods in our lives where we make bad decisions only to totally regret those decisions after cooler heads have prevailed. I would hope we as proud DOLFANS would not throw sticks and stones at Chad in this very rocky time in his life.

I wish the guy nothing but the best, I Hope he straightens his life out real soon, there are much bigger fish to fry in his life, than just FOOTBALL. Just something to chew on.

It's been a bad week. Head Butt wife, lose NFL job, lose reality TV series, divorce. It wasn't a cool or hot head that made him swear on TV repeatedly, talk about porn and strip clubs, then get caught by his bride of 6 weeks with a condom receipt. People give up on him after giving him a chance for a reason. But yes, all the best to him as a human. We should put the Chad threads somewhere else since he is not on the team.

Yeah first decision he will regret was marrying the crazy witch.... I bet she head butted him

It is really crazy when you break it down.....he has lost almost a million dollars in salary, who knows what the stupid reality tv show was paying as well.....he lost a chance to play for his hometown team, a team that he grew up rooting for....he allegedly assaulted his wife, is getting divorced and could have hurt his chances of ever playing football professionally again.....

He was so out of control in the moment he was quoted as saying that he didn't care about his career......

Now I know he is likley very well off financially, however this is really crazy.....he was asked to just represent the team in a respectful manner....stop swearing at press conferences etc.... other than that he could be himself...

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but if I behaved this way in the work that I do, I could very likely lose my job.....I really don't know what he was thinking, but it seems like to me he may either have some sort of mental health concern, or his persona has gone to his head....either way we are better off without him....

When I played highschool ball , guys on the team really had a different standard. We got away with skipping class, getting cuaght drinking at the dance etc....all because we played ball.....all while other students had consequences....the sad part is, if Johnson was 10 years younger, or maybe even caught a few more passes in camp, or in the preseason opener, maybe he would still be on the team.....football at this level is a profession, just like any other job....its too bad these standards, or even norms for athletes are still prevelant when these guys are adults....and you probably could blame these norms in the sport for the reason why so many of these guys are getting arrested and are *******s.....if anyone else acted like this in their profession your job would be given to someone else very quickly

All in all good move by Philbin, Johnson deserved to be cut, however if this was another player, the consequence would very well be different....I hope Philbin continues to manage the Team with this level of pride and professionalism
