I was as impressed as many of you to see how well Rivers played @ the Senior Bowl. In fact, did you realize that the all of the scoring drives by the South were executed when he was in the game. But before we anoint him as the 2nd coming of Marino, lets remember that his performance was in a controlled game with no blitzing and basic schemes. Also, how prepared could these players be when many of them haven't practiced in a month and now have a week to get ready? Also, many of the better prospects didn't play in the game because they are underclassmen or don't want to risk injury. Don't get me wrong, I like Rivers and he seems to have a great attitude and he's a winner but some people are making him out to be better than Manning and possibly a top ten pick which I sincerely doubt. In actuality, I hope the fins trade down from the 20 spot (assuming we keep O-gun) to late in the first or early 2nd, pick up some extra picks and still have a shot to get a good QB Rivers or another one.
