Sooners to forfeit wins from 2005

I don't really see how this is such a harsh penalty?? How do you lose wins that you've already won? The sting is kind of taken out if you're taking away games that have already been played.

You have to give up the Holiday Bowl trophy you won. :lol:
 
Well that sucks, but still, it's not like they get stripped of a Nat'l championship. And for all the benefits it seems guys were getting, it still doesn't seem like much. That's like saying you're going to strip me of two meals I had two years ago, and that I'm going to go hungry for that day.

I see it as a little different. I think it is closer to saying you have to pay back one paycheck from x years ago because they found out you were not working that week.

Knocking a coaches record can be extremely damaging. Not only in recruiting, but if and when it comes time for negotiating a contract. Just takes some of Stoops' leverage away in that situation.
 
let me shed some light on this topic. first ou's basketball program had recuriting violations before the boomar thing came out then the track team violated some rules as well. former dolphin coach pat jones said that if you reapear before the commitee they will say, hey what is up here. the ou players were getting several hundred dollars for work that they were not doing.
the thing that gets me is the ncaa should have put a bowl ban and a tv ban for two games on them. the local media is kissing up the ou athletic program as i speak.

I will tell you what happened to good ole coaches one went to pitt and the other went to alabama and the other coaches a football team in stillwater oklahoma.:sidelol::kick::cooldude:
