Gus Sucks...

He was THE main cause for us losing yesterday...he overthrew a wide open CC that would have been TDs, not once but twice, and he had time to throw both of those passes. He also overthrew an open Booker that might have been a TD and McMike as well...he was a little more pressured on the McMike pass, but it should have been made...

The penalties and Browns fumble overshadow the horrible game this guy had. Oh yea, I forgot his 3 INTs, but hey those things happen, right ?? There is no excuse for a veteran QB like him to be missing so many balls. I realize that not every long ball is going to be made, but the difference between our success and failure, especially with this type of offense, rests with QB accuracy on the long ball and Gus can't do it...he sucks...

The sad part is that this is just rehashing the same problems he's had all season long, but it really cost us the game this week...How long do we live with this ??

Why does everybody on this site always blame 1 person it was alot of penalties.

Agreed... over 100 yrds in penalties... botched long snaps ... those are things that are almost impossible to overcome...

Just as I was wrong for trying to lay all the blame on Ronnie Brwon, you are equally wrong for trying to lay it all on Gus. Besides that, you got a better option. And please, don't say A.J. or Sage.

I said the loss was the result of Gus poor play...Had he hit two of thoses long balls for TDs, we'd have forgotten the penalties by now...

I believe that Gus is the stop-gap measure until the Dolphins get a good young quarterback next year. Considering his career stats and everything, I think he played pretty well until yesterday. Unless he starts making a habit of 3-pick games, I say go with him the rest of the year.

3 INT's was definately a major factor in our loss. I kept checking the screen to make sure Feeley wasn't back in there. Absolutely horrible!

Yeah, I guess you're right there...my point is that since the QB is focal point of the offense, and he is so terribly off target, he deserves the blame...This is not something that happened this particular game, this has been going on in every game we've played. With our D being strong...a little more help from the O would make all the difference in the world. But CC, RM, RB, RW, SM, the OL, none of those guys can make a difference like a few accurate passes would have made in our games...

Exactly, he had to resort to the pass. These people need to stop blaming 1 person and blame the ones that got the penalties.

The way I look at it, if Spragen does not make the penalty on third and 8, the Bills have to kick a field goal, if the backup center doesn't make a bonehead penalty on the kickoff, the Bills don't get great field postion and don't get a field goal, so lets see, thats minus 7 points, oh gee, we win!

PS

If Chambers comes back for that one ball, like he is taught, its a catch, not a int!

My god... It's called a bad game. Even Gus Ferotte has them. Gus DOES NOT suck. He's leaps and bounds ahead of any other QB option we have.

I only mentioned the INTs as an afterthought...the issue is his accuracy...and the add'l scores we should have had that would have rendered the penalties, INTs and other miscues meaningless.
