The Fins will not win more than 4 or 5 games this year. No QB (yes Henne sucks as bad as Penny), no OL and no WR's. Too bad a good Defense will be wasted in 2009.

I've been a Fin Fan since '66 and really loved the early years with Czonk, Kiick, Morris and the "No Name D", but this current 2009 version is just another sub-par version of the same thing I've seen since 1992 (the last great Marino season).

Personally I've grown weary of all the "Preseason Hype"! Let's face it; the preseason was a vision of things to come... Good Defense, but absolutely nothing on Offense. Personally I think the final score of the Colts game will be something like 31-10 or worse!

I'm sure some of you will unload on me and tell me I'm a terrible fan, but that's ok. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, however, the Fins are still many years away from truly being competitive. As much as it kills me to say it, I think Judgment Day will come before the Dolphins will truly field a competitive team that can compete with the "Big Boys"...

Penny sucks because he has no arm left. What he had was all used up in NY.

You have no clue, only an opinion that is as meaningful as a fart. Don't get me wrong everyone has to fart, some chose to make sure everyone hears it and some do it in private.

Henne sucks too....

You base that on what, the fact that he's yet to play a meaningful down yet? Opinions like this are like wet farts they have little use and need to be changed.

We've played 1 whole game and some of you act like we're the Detroit Lions of '08. We lost to a good team on the road only because of some mistakes that rarely ever happen to this team....Fasano`s only ever fumbles, Penny`s pick and fumble. But you cry over it and call everyone garbage or what ever floats your boat. The rest of us that realize there`s more to football then one bad game will get to enjoy the rest of the season understanding the next day brings on a whole new challenge.

You just keep on farting and stinking up the thread board, well done.

And I'm sure plenty of people on this forum would be glad to disagree with you. The Dolphins are a better team than most people give them credit for. Saying that they can only muster 4-5 wins is a bit of a disrespect. 7-8 wins I can tolerate and disagree kindly, but Miami has not done all this to make a major collapse in 2009.

Besides have hometown bias, even the most reputable analysts will not tell you that Miami can only win 4-5 games, even the ones that place them at 3rd or 4th in the division. Don't be so pessimistic after one game in the season.

They still need to strap up those cleats and put on those helmets for 16 more games. Mid-way through the season if they are still in the pits, then we can discuss this. As for now, I say let them prove themselves on the field.

Just an opinion... Been a football fan for many years, and as I said, I've seen this show many times before, but make no mistake, I hope I'm wrong.

BTW, didn't mean to upset you so much. Just old enough to be a realist...
 
I love these posts after 1 game, you should wait until at least 2 games before the gloom and doom posts (yes sarcasm).

I dont know how many games this group will win, but its been obvious since the TB game that the offense is garbage.

We need an to upgrade the Oline and we need skill position players, starting with QB.
 
And the purpose of this post is what again...? Does the OP feel better to tell us he has no confidence in his favorite football team? So, what? This could have piggy-backed on a number of similar threads, some of which are simply troll bait.
 
Hey MSG, I was born and raise in Miami from 1959 to 1980 and was unjustly moved to Houston by my parents... Hence, I have a hometown bias too. It just kills me to see the Fins get man-handled each week (and I know it's only one game), but as I said, having been a fan since '66 I've witnessed quite a bit of failure over the years and am conditoned for what to expect...
