One of the more interesting things we've debated over the years are the interviews of coaches. I for one am actually impressed with Coach Sparano. When he was initially introduced as Coach I sat there thinking... hmm ok... he's not going to be the most interesting speaker..

But I am pleasantly surprised. He answers questions probably better than any coach we've had since Johnson. I like the way he talks about players, team philosophy, outlook, and competitions. For all his New York state italian influences he certainly sounds like a tough guy.. but a tough football guy. And he doesn't sound like he's give you 'coachspeak BS' as blatantly as we've become used to.

You can almost tell the reporters respect him, I get a sense the players respect him. No, he's no color commentator, but he answers questions well, explains decisions well, and speaks his mind with more articulation I was expecting. He actually sounds like... a coach!

i love the new Aquavision from the team website... lot of great interviews. You can get second hand info from the newspapers websites.. or you can hear it from the coah and players themselves. Great job Dolphins.. finally..

So what do you all think of of our new coach?

I agree. He explains things, he doesn't beat around the bush much, he doesn't seem outright angry that he has to talk to people, he's not overly effusive and doesn't smile too much.

I agree as well and he does it without an attitude, that in itself is refreshing. I do love how he brakes things down and explains the way he see things. Very insightful.

You hit the nail right on the head. I was thinking the exact same thing.

I fully agree. He's prompt, decisive and well and ready for any of the questions reporters throw at him.

I actually liked how Nick Saban would break things down in his press conferences, when he wasn't being pissy that day. Sparano breaks things down almost as well as Nick did but without the pissiness.

Take it from a guy who listens to every press conference all year long, every year. Sparano calls it like he sees it and it is a breath of fresh air. Especially after the smug, defensive, and antagonistic Saban followed by the politically correct, weak and evasive Cameron.

I basically wanted to punch both Saban and Cameron after every press conference. Saban for his blatant crap-a$$ attitude and Cameron for answering every question like a politician.

I'd like to see Sparano break down Saban.

 Good stuff man. I hated listening to Cameron dance around every issue.

I've enjoyed Sparano's interviews alot. Even when he's telling me something I don't want to hear.

I do enjoy Coach Sparano's press conferences. What you see is what you get with him. A football coach, that shoots straight from the hip. He doesn't have a God-complex like Saban did, and is most definately not the politician that Cam was.

I think the game is slooooooowing downnnnnn forrrrrrrrrrrrr hhhhhhhhhhhhhim...

Totally agree ; very refreshing and looking forward to His interviews after a WIN..........Couldn't believe the attitude Saben projected during interviews .....
