Uh oh- with all of the safeties on the roster now, Daniels is staying put at CB. I think that it's far from a sure thing that he makes the team this year, he's an average corner at best.

Sparano quote from the Miami Herald:

"Is Travis Daniels a CB or S -- “Right now we’re going to look at him as a corner, with the safeties we brought in. We know he has the ability to play two positions back there and on game day that’s important. On game day you’re looking for guys that can do more and Travis is a young player we feel can do a few things back there. He’s one of those young guys we’re excited about watching, but we’re going to start him right now at corner.â€

I look at Daniels as a on the fence player. He has played well and played poorly. Travis May take back the starting job he won a couple of years ago when he showed promise and before the injury. Maybe the regime changes will help him max out his potential and give him stability.

He doesn't have the speed to be an every down corner, right now he is a situational player. He can be a force in red zone coverage but as much as he gets burned on the deep ball he should change his middle name to toast.

The scoop on T. Daniels when he was in college is he tended to get dinged up quite a bit so he never develoeped like he should have. I was very surprised how well he played his first year and that he was able to stay healthy the entire year. His 2nd year he got nicked up missed a few games and has never been the same always hurt or a step behind.

Danials still has a good chance to make team. Nate Jones is an awful CB so its not like we have alot of corner better than him. In fact some of the safeties we brought in are fairly bad in coverage so far. I like the Crocker signing.

I'm glad Daniels is staying at corner although he may not be here long. I just don't think he is physical enough to be a safety. He was pushed around when he was in there last season.

Toast....warm buttery toast hmmm yum I figured he'd get faster and be quicker now than as a rookie despite the ankle injuries

he did play well one year, maybe the coaching has not been good for him, if anyone can improve him it is these guys
