well he can only be listed as 1 position; now did Tony say the experiment is over...or is Omar playing with words again...?
 
He's a nickel guy, not a boundary guy. If Allen can't get healthy, Wilson is probably the guy who pushes him off the team. Come to think of it, given Allen's age and cap number, that might have already happened. With our athletic coverage linebackers Wilson could be a weapon on the corner blitz the way Jerry Wilson used to be.

Wilson is a little undersized to be a SS but ultimately I think that's where I like him more (pushing Culver off the team). He reminds me a bit of Rodney Harrison.

all i know i saw wilson make a couple knock downs and two hits on the QB on blitz. If he is not a boundary guy, he certainly covers ground.
 
yea he would be great at the nickle coverage and blitzing, what a steal
 
Hes a little stocky guy, but seems to cover alot of ground and be around the ball. Also made that bat of the ball in the endzone when he was clearly beaten.

I really wanted Will Allen back to blitz from the slot but just in 1 game nolan's scheme vanilla schemes we saw jimmy get in there quickly and made the strip sack as well. I'm would be comfortable with Jimmy playing an inside corner and being a blitzer as well. He looks to be a good player with a good motor.
 
Yeah some guys have a knack for the corner blitz and Wilson has it. We missed Nate Jones last year and his uncanny ability to blitz from the CB position.
 
Like some have posted, he may be listed as a CB, but they are going to move him around. Definitely a nickel guy . . . with him and Sapp, Allen could be cut anyday.

He'll be 34 before the start of next season . . . not really much of a future with him and it will be the last year of his contract. You hope that by then one of these youngsters steps up and takes over the SS job.
 
Good man this is ur shot kid play our *** off and it will pay off. Question Did Bell play yesterday I did not see him anywhere.
