Omar from todays presser:

OmarKelly "You can be discouraged about it. I'm not," Sparano on the Dolphins offensive line.

Quote was specifically about the running game. my question is how can sparano say he isnt discouraged???

Wow. Looks like he is rolling with this line and committed. . .we shall see

He'll be discouraged when he's no longer employed by the Dolphins.

Agreed....Well Mr. Sparano, I am dang concerned. If you think Jake is going to solve all your problems you are sadly mistaken. He cannot play LT, RG, and RT at the same time.

When has a coach come out and spoken deeply negative about his team?

This is tru. Dont expect that. But perhaps something along the lines of. . . " We need to get better. . . BOTTOM LINE. We are gonna do whatever it takes to get this thing straightened out." would suffice no????

Geez if this line is as bad as many expect it too be he may not only be out of an HC job but who's going to hire him to coach their O-LINE?

I agree that he would not speak ill of his team, but he HAS to know something needs to be done. I yearn for the days of Justin Smiley and Jake Grove. Lets sign them back :)

Well, if he is looking for 1.5 yards a rush. He is set. Unreal.

That was a pretty good line for a while.

yeah you can't publicly say that your hand picked line has gone belly up but the tape sure does the talkin for ya...this is a disaster right now

I'm holding out hope that this line is night-and-day better when Long is practicing and Sparano is seeing that. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned though...

Sometimes things get so bad that coaches will no longer say anything bad about a problem... it's just piling on. So they just try to be encouraging.

Unfortunately that's where we are with the offensive line right now, because this statement is anything but sincere. As little as I think of Sparano I refuse to think he isn't actually panicking about the offensive line. Anyone with eyes can see it's a disaster.

If anyone saw him talk after the Tampa game you could see how pissed he was......He can say he's not " discouraged " but he is pissed about it.
