From today's presser:

Reporter: Coach, do you think Pat White is ready to run the spread offense in an NFL game?

TS: Spread offense...you mean our offense?...this style offense *pointing towards the practice field*?

Reporter: Not the base...the, the next step...

TS: What's the next step?

Reporter: Nevermind.

TS: *visibly amused and holding back a huge smile, which he can't* Was a good try.

It seems the reporter was on a fishing expedition in regards to the WC.

What amazes is how fixated the media is on the WC. Yet, Aikman & Buck pointed out during the recent game w/ Tampa that the WC was only used about 10% of the total offensive snaps last season.

I know elsewhere it was mentioned that Football players are bright. What does this say about the media? And ESPN is the bottom of that particular barrel.

Hey, if the media is so obsessed think about how obsessed opposing D coordinators must be. Even if it's only 10% of the offense, if it creates big plays...but i think you'll see a lot more spread/wildcat this year now that we've had time to add more personnel (Pat White) to run it.

I just don't think White is going to be doing that much running it at all except for maybe a couple select plays in the second half. Sparano has already said explicitly that White isn't going to be used there for a while, and while White will be the type of player we can utilize like that in the future, the future isn't now.

Yeah because if he was to bring Pat in a new package, he'd have to let the other team know beforehand...
