(On the fact that the 'two-point conversion chart' says to go for it in that situation) - "Made sense, go for two, that's exactly right. That's the problem; it's just that you have a million scenarios. You could find five other cards, five other cards, I hate this. I remember watching this movie Armageddon once, and they said 'you can't use your 'blow the bomb up' card in this situation.' There are five different cards, you might get five different answers, you really might. In my mind as I'm going through this thing, one of the things I'm thinking is 'I honestly,' - and this is not being negative here - I just didn't know how many more at-bats that team was going to get, okay? You could tell me eight-and-a-half minutes, I'll admit it, I don't know. The way the game was going, and with where we were offensively in this football game, I had no idea how many more at-bats that team was going to get. In my mind, we were down there, we just finished a good drive, we had some momentum, and we had a good play, and a good situation and we were at a good number. When you look at some of those things, the touchdown, the two-point play, the field goal, those kind of plays, you look at those things, the hardest things to execute, to get, are really the touchdowns and the two-pointers sometimes. So with where we were in the game and 11 [point lead], they had to execute a field goal, a two-point play, and a touchdown. Now as it turned out, the Monday morning quarterbacks are all looking to say 'well, geez, that's the way it was kind of headed.' It's true, but we weren't planning on a 50-something yard pass play and any of those scenarios that happened either during the course of this thing. So, that's why."

(On a 12-point and 13-point lead both being two touchdown situations) - "Well yeah, but one brings into the 'at-bat' things, and that's all I'm saying, is that one brings into a touchdown, a field goal, and a field goal can get you, you know what I mean? I'm trying to put some of that out of the way, because I don't know how many at-bats they're going to get, I really don't, [shoot], they scored."

Sounds like a lot of words spoken to avoid saying "I messed up." If we ended up losing the game he would have gotten reamed over this one.

my head hurts.

that's the crappiest qoute i have ever read. if sparano really talks like that, he'd be worse that bush jr.

Wow I got quickly overwhelmed by this post. I'm gonna go take a nap.

I mean really though. I have no idea what is being said here.

You are critiquing someone's grammar by using a grammatically incorrect phrase.
i think that quote is a little more than grammatically wrong. it's not even english. lol i'm not asking for it to be perfect. and at least you can understand what i'm saying...

I told ya this guy is a ****ing moron. Dont hate the messenger.

Hey we had a great season last year and if you all want to crown his ***, then crown him. To me he is a dumb jock who will kill us in game management situations if we continue to let him.

Does he motivate the players well enough...sure. Does he know football....yea. The players like him. All that other junk that you might want to point to and say he is a good coach. Fine. I get that. And he does deserve some of the credit for last season. He earned it.

But, Im telling you guys....this dude is a dumb jock. He simply isnt very smart and he will KILL US in a HUGE spot somewhere down the line when this team is ready to compete for all the marbles.

Im just afraid once we get to that point, we may not get to the big game, or if we do get to it, we may not win it simply because we are letting a ****ing moron manage the games for us. Thats all.

I'm not sold on Sparano. He makes a lot of bad decisions.

-the entire 2nd half of the saints game
-continuing to put bess out there on punts
-the timeout before halftime against the saints
-time management and timeout management every week

and there's more. Tony is a young coach but some of these things are wanny-like.

Don't forget the 2 minute drive at the end of the Colts game. We had 3:18 with two timeouts down by 4 and somehow ran the clock out only getting down to the Indy 30. Unbelievable.

In all fairness, the guy does make some pretty genius moves in game as well. The timeouts against the Jets Sunday on their last drive to help get our D in position were pretty good.

I think it comes down to Tony was just having a Pissing match with the Jets coach, and it just got the better of him cuzzzz it didn't make any sense at all.

One thing Sparano can never be accused of is being charismatic in front of the media.
