Sparano should have DECLINED and kept it at 4th and inches

What harm would it have done? Taken off 5 yards from a 40-yd field goal if they changed their mind?? And still make it? They might have kept Brady in and our defense could have done something. Game was over at that point via FG anyway.

After thinking about it, I agree the 4th and 15 call was not awful with no TOs, but to be fair we put ourselves in that position. Going for the 4th and 4 PUNT?? Screw that.

eh, I think our chances of a blocked FG or a bad snap or something were greater than stopping 4th an 1 inch.

The Pats would have picked up a 1st down if they declined the penalty. No way our defense would stop them when they were less then an inch away from a 1st down.

not going for it on 4th and 4 was a huge mistake and a play that contributed to our loss significantly

I personally don't think the Pats were going to run a play there. I think they were trying to draw the Fins offsides and if it failed they would have called a timeout and kicked the FG anyway. So IMO they were kicking either way so it was smart to push them back 5 yards.
