I loved the way that Coach Sparano was yelling at Dan Carpenter. This is what the Fins have been lacking in the past, a coach that they fear and respect at the same time. I was never a big fan of Wandstedt. Nick Saban should have turned his name into Houdini cause when the going got tough he had a remarkable disapearing act. I liked what Cam Cameron tried to do, but, well, we all know how that turned out.

Totally agree, though one could make the argument that Carpenter missed his last FG due to the giant crap he took in his pants (and therefore, due to TS).

That's 3 points left on the field...

Kickers are fragile. I want to see him rip Joey Porters *** on the sideline!

ya and the very next kick carpenter MISSED teh fg....not so sure it was a good idea but anyways did uf orget about a guy named saban? so plz dont cream urself we had a coach liek this before calm down bro.

watch saban rip JA during the preseason game his rookie year and tell me another coach that did osmething like that to anyone. it was so heated i got scared

I agree totally, but go A LITTLE easier.. the kid is a rookie, 1st year in the NFL, he possiblycould have been a little more subtle.. From a vet, yeah, scream their ***** off, but agian, Carpenter is rookie and making rookie mistakes are bound to happen. In some aspect, rookie mistakes should be expected from rookies.

Unfortunately though, Sparano screaming at Carpenter was the reason he missed the FG. One thing is for sure though, I dont think Carpenter will make that type of kickoff mistake again... In that point i can agree with coaches screaming.

Can someone explain to me what happened? I didn't catch it...

Carpenter hit the squib kick wrong and Buffalo got ot at about the 45 instead of going all the way down the field in the normalsquib fashion, so Sparano screamed at him whoch was shown on the sidelines.. the next field goal, Carpenter missed due to the havoc Sparano put upon him

I was watching on gamecenter and i saw what happened and wondered what was going on, but i was too busy enjoying our W to care...

yeah, thats what happened... Sparano was ON FIRE!!! God would have been scared I think

Carpender missed the kick because he hit it a little bit wrong and it sailed wide right.

the thing with Saban is that he was a complete ****. I never once seen Saban chest bump a player.

Sparano is a respected leader not a hated dictator. I think Sparano has a good relationship with his players and they feel that they can talk to him, mess around with him, and respect him all at the same time. It is very unique to have that type of respect. A lot of times players will push a nice coach around or will revolt against a tough coach. He seems to have the happy medium where he can expect perfect play and call them out on it when they don't. Yet he can also have fun with his players so he doesn't work them like horses and then treat them like **** on gameday too.

same reason why he missed the squib and Sparano reamed him out... He got nervous, thought to much about why Sparano screamed at him, and missed the field goal... Not that im disagreeing with Sparano totally, but unfortunately Sparano screaming at and scaring Carpenter was he reason Carpenter missed the kick

Couldn't it just be that Carpenter just shanked it? He is a good young player but he is no Mike Vanderjagt (who had a season without missing a field goal [almost positive]) and even he ended up sucking. Kickers occasionally shank kicks. it happens. no big deal (unless it is for a win [or like Vanderjagt, a playoff win]).

All i know is that Carpenter may be on his way to a pro bowl for his nerves of steel and I don't think that even Large Tony could scare a wide left out of him.

I think that was the first time I've eve seen a duffed kickoff. I thought it was a surprise onside kick at first.
