Dolphins | Changes coming on special teams
Sat, 19 Sep 2009 05:15:17 -0700

Armando Salguero, of The Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins have made some personnel changes, or at the least, some assignment changes on special teams. Head coach Tony Sparano said, "We changed up some roles. We'll get some different people doing different things and see how that goes."

Good news!

What the special teams need is speed...but thats hard to do when you waive all the faster players.

I hope he's talking about blocking, because thats our problem. Not our KR

Ginn is the only player we've had this decade that can bring it to the house. We want the ball in playmakers hands.. Let Ginn take all kickoff/ punts from here on in.

regardless of blocking, Ginn is terrible. And your saying you want Ginn to take all KO and Punt duties and play full time and score 2 TD's?

I think you're love affair with him is a bit off with reality.

I think we all found out that speed doesnt mean much when you let the ball bonce off your facemask.

I think you forgot about our old friend Wesley Welker, but yea Ginn has the speed to take it the other way if he can play a little tougher.

Wes was kind of like Bess, gathered the yardage but rarely breaks one. Essential to have a player like that though.

I'd like to see Cobbs returning punts too

here is what I think it should be:

Bess returning punts with a sprinkle of Hartline

Cobbs returning KO's with a sprinkle of Hartline/Ginn/Hilliard (provided he has gotten practice returning kicks)

I think, like a lot of fairweather fans, you skipped out on the 1-15 season. While you were gone, Ginn took about 5 kicks to the house (even though some were called back with flags).

Ginn can be an elite returner in this league. He just needs a little blocking.

problem is that if ginn did go down returning kicks could you imagine a less scary wr corps that what we would field at that point?
