It just hit me that Coach Sparano coached with Sean Payton when they were both assistants with the Cowboys...

Since Payton was a coordinator, Sparano knows how he gameplans, but this isn't true the other way around cause when Sparano was calling plays Payton was already the Saints heads coach...

So even tho we don't have a ton of experience with the Saints (i think last time we played them Saban beat them up in the LSU stadium) we actually go into this game with enough familiarity where i think the dolphin's staff is in the unique situation tp create more of an Anti-Sean Payton gameplan than most teams...

We also have a knack for beating undefeated teams!

I hope your right. I wonder if that is some sort of an advantage or does a coach change his game plan philosophy drastically over the years? I imagine that the coache's players strengths and weaknesses would dictate the coaches game plan. Also, his coaching staff would have a big influence on the direction of his strategies. If a coach was to keep coaching the exact same way for years, I imagine he would get figured out pretty fast. I hope your right and it is an advantage.

It actually gives me cause for concern that Payton was on Parcells' staff there. One of the reasons the Saints are a disciplined team that is good in all areas of the game and doesn't overlook any game.

No, no advantage. Totally irrelevant, actually.

What our staff will know about them will come from watching the film of the Saints...not by meetings they used to have 5 years ago.

Thats the first thing I thought than I thought well he might know what Sean likes to do in some situations or might know some of his tendencies. Thats about it though.

Payton is a good coach. I remember the first time he played Parcell's Cowboys once he was with the Saints. He pulled out every trick to win that game. I think there were fake kicks in that game if memory serves me...

He tried to hire Sporano as his OC but the Tuna wouldn't release him.

Yep, I think he dropped 50 points on the cowboys that day, or close to it. The FB and TE had monster games catching the ball, some unkown FB had a career day.....

The Saints D cooridinator also served on that staff as a LB coach, Pasqualoni was hired to replace him when he went with Payton to the Saints......

Yeah, the FB (I forget his name) I think had never scored a TD before, and in that game he scored 3...ROFL. It was great.

Just so I can read the damn thing without the add being in the way.

I seem to remember something back when Payton was hired, he wanted to bring Sparano with him but Parcells rejected it (guess it must have been for a lateral OL coach position if that was the case). So if true, Payton has a lot of respect for Coach Tony and I wouldn't count on him taking any TS team lightly.

a finesse team versus a grind it out physical team. both teams have excellent coaching staffs. shaping up to be quite an interesting game. in my opinion, whoevers defense can make the most plays will have the best shot of winning.

this is very true

I think Sparano knows that Payton will be throwing the ball.

Its what Pasqualoni comes up with IMO that matters.

I say bump em at the LOS and play tight. and JT should cover Shockey. I think he would do well there. 6-6 Taylor has been looking pretty good in coverage. I noticed in Jets game he was taking on the TE and sticking with him which might explain why they were not going to him much.

people say JT hasnt been great, but they are referring to pass rush. Well, thats why no pass rush. He is covering TE's. He does pretty good too IMO. We'll see.
