Fortunately for the Dolphins, special-teams play may soon be on its way up again. Morris' suspension ends Monday and the infield dirt will be gone after the Marlins wrap up their season Sunday. The Dolphins also enter the Texans game with the NFL's top punt return average (14.7 yards) thanks to wide receiver Wes Welker, who drew high praise earlier this week from Houston coach Gary Kubiak during a conference call.
"That young man is not only to me one of the toughest returners in football but, in a three-week period, I think he's one of the top players," said Kubiak, referring to Welker's team-high 14 catches for 167 yards. "The plays he is making for the Dolphins on third downs, the tough plays he's making on the field as a receiver [and] returner, I've been very impressed."
