Horrible blocking on special teams. Let's sign a few of these veterans and throw them on special teams. We know they can hit which is more than we can say for our Kick Return teams (no blocking).

1. Zach Thomas, ILB
2. Derrick Brooks, ILB
3. Mike McKenzie, CB
4. Napoleon Harris, LB


All of these guys like contact.
 
Zach is one hit away from some serious head troubles.
I don't want to see him get permanently injured on our field.
 
I would not be surprised or upset if that were to happen. When you start every drive from behind your own 15 yard line, it makes it much harder to operate the offense.

Look at how good Atlanta's returns were.

Any special teams coach out there that Parcells can bring in at this point? I doubt it.
 
Apparently Bonamego is good friends with Sparano, so he'll be given ample chances to fix the problem. If we're still having this discussion around the bye week, then he might be let go.

Maybe that new wedge rule is affecting us
 
Or maybebecause their kicker was putting ball 5 yards deep in the endzone while our kicker only reached the 5 yardline.
 
I don't think those want to end their careers as special teamers. I'm sure Zach and Derrick would rather retire.
