Special teams are mostly forgotten on forums but, can be responsible for winning or losing 3-4 games, which does matter. Last year we were #17 overall, and I did not see us as that good.

We re-signed Thomas, and added McCain, Paysinger, and Bowman and they are all REALLY good. Huge upgrade.

Fields just needs to come back to himself and another big upgrade.

Sturgis was good on KO's but #21 on FG's. Not sure if the team has any confidence left.

Landry was good on KO's, bad on punts. Hoping James can be the answer here.

All in all, we are much improved.

Dolphins have always had VG kickers, and last year he was far from VG. Not sure if we bring him back in hoping for a better year.

Sturgis aside, we have gotten MUCH better on special teams this off season.

Maybe you were. There were 54% of his kicks returned, and the average starting field position was 23.7, #14. We all saw the kick coverage, and #14 was pretty good considering it.

I agree about Landry. Damien Williams or Matt Hazel seem like they'd be able to do returns.
