Let me preface this post by saying that I in no way advocate rooting for the Dolphins to lose in order to get a better draft position. I want us to win every Sunday, even when eliminated from the playoffs.

Right now, there are 9 teams with 2 wins and an additional 4 teams with 3 wins. I no longer think we're in the running for a top 3 pick. I'm thinking we'll pick somewhere around 7-12.

Looking at our sked, I see the following games as very winnable:
1. MINNESOTA
2. @ Det
3. @ Buffalo
4. jets
5. @ Indy (if they rest their starters)

That means we could finish the season at 6-10 or even 7-9. But I think that is a good thing. This year's draft seems pretty deep, and if Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson, and Brian Brohm delcare (and I think they will), they could push some quality players to us at around the 10 spot.

This would be great because we wouldn't have to guarantee $20 million to a rookie and still land a difference maker.

I think we will get a top 3 to 5 pick!! Just cuz Miami won doesnt mean that they will win all those games!! I hope they do but i Dont see it

ill be at the indy game, Its my first NFL game and its my birthday so they better win it i hope...ill be freakin out the whole game

Maybe we won't win ALL those games, but what other 2 win teams are gonna win more than us?

Detroit
Tampa
Arizona (only 1 win)
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Tenn
Houston
Oakland

How many of those teams are gonna win enough games to push us into a top 5 pick?

I think I agree with you...but I'm not sure what you said.

I think if we win against the Chiefs we are going to go on a tear and finish 7-9 or 8-8. If we lose to the Chiefs and snuff out the momentum we'll probably go 5-11. This team feeds off of emotion both good and bad and that's why this gm is so critical. 8-8 probably puts us at 15th while 5-11 might get us 8th

adamprez2003, have I ever told you how much I LOVE that Thin Lizzy album???

you just became one of the saviest posters on this site:lol: That's probably my favorite album although Thunder & Lightning is right there with it

I just want us to make sure we draft players who can start right away....(especially first day picks).
