neone watching the FLA vs GEO game? spikes got a sack and did the JP kick lolll.

I konw a few ppl like that kid as a potential 1st rounder for MLB. looks like he has good speed compared to crowder.

BTW is harvin the real deal to those that have watched him or is he another FL WRer that comes into the NFL and does nothing

i'm watching the game with my brother, and i saw Spikes do that,lol...and in answer to ur Harvin question...i asked that same question to my bro,and he feels Harvin will make a good slot receiver for whoever he goes to...

Harvin takes Florida's offense to another level.....not Tim Tebow...

Tebow is miles from being an effective passer in the NFL IMO....

I don't know if Spikes is faster than Crowder...Crowder ran a 4.55 at 250 pounds....Spikes looks to be more instinctual and more of a playmaker though.

U sure it was a 4.55 cuz I recall it being a 4.70.
Harbin looks like a rb though for some reason body wise. Def see him as a slot guy ormaybe a nmber two. Def not a number 1

spikes is nothing to rave about on here...he is no better then crowder and thats not saying much....harvin is good but going to b your typical florida/miami/fla st wr who ends up doing nothing...

You are correct....Crowder ran a 4.68 @ 245 pounds....he ran a 4.55 as a freshman....

Dont know much about harvin but i do know a former cane is leading the nfl in rec yards. ANDRE JOHNSON...and by the way florida schools(UM,FSU,UF) have the best players in the nfl

How about Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss, and Andre Johnson. If I recall these guys are pretty damn good lol.:hi5:

Harvin reminds me of Santana Moss.....very similar in size and build....and just as dangerous with the ball in his hands...

Probably a 2nd rounder....but he'll be a weapon you can scheme with to get the ball in his hands....

they r 3 out of how mnay supposely great florida school wr...lamar thomas...lawrence dawsey..yatil green...s. moss from nyg....i dont think roscoe parrish is exactly tearing it up either..i could go on and on...there r far worse then great ones...

I doubt Harvin is any good in the NFL unless he's drafted by a team who wants to make their playbook full of college trickery. He's just a product of Florida's Offense, as is Tebow. And that Florida Offense would never work in the NFL.

With that being said, Harvin certainly has more potential than Tebow to be successful in the NFL. Of course, it would take 2-3 years of developing, but it could happen. His best chance is to go to a team who uses alot of Spread Offense with alot of 3 and 4 WR sets. He certainly has the talent to be successful as a slot receiver down the road.

what about anquan boldin?? dolphins passed that man up in the draft as well... but harvin is the man i go to University of Florida and i think hes the difference maker on the offense he always finds the endzone and he can take a hit and goes across the middle and it seems like tebow is trying to get himself ready for the nfl not running as much and focusing on passing a lot but harvin is the real deal no doubt about it hes a lot better then andre caldwell who went 3rd or 4th round and jeff demps is the fastest man ive seen on the field...in a long long time if he gets bulkier and keeps his speed he might be like willie parker ish i think that man is lightning

i totally agree with what u said...i really cant see harvin being that type of x factor in the pros but u never know..i gotta be honest and say if there is 1 team that he cold fit in with it would be the phins! when u mentioned a player who cna be part of a system with college plays and trickery involved, well no further then our playbook

Lawrence Dawsey played at FSU didn't he?

Miami and Florida put so many WR's in the pro's that the vast majority of them don't live up to the hype...any other schools bust percentage at WR is just as high....it's just most of them don't put as many in....so of course Miami and Florida have more WR's that don't live up to the hype in the NFL.

However, I think Percy Harvin is going to be better than Ike Hilliard, Reidel Anthony, Jacquez Green, Chad Jackson, etc...
