Spoke to ex phin Rishard Mathews today

To be fair, it goes beyond Philbin. From what I understand, Lamar Miller was pissed with Campbell and Tannenbaum because of how they handled him late in the season.

They essentially stopped giving him the football to try to reduce his market value, and I don't blame him for being mad about it.

That actually backfired too, since Miller never even got a chance to really get feature back carries, everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt and just thought the Dolphins were stupid for not letting him. Nobody took them at face value that he couldn't handle the load because he never got the opportunity to prove or disprove them.

It doesn't surprise me that he would be a starter. According to Football Outsiders DVOA metric he was the second most efficient wide receiver in the NFL last season.

How is that possible with a terrible QB throwing to him? Didn't the wildly inaccurate throws kill his catch % and YAC?

Did they reduce MIller's carries in an effort to reduce his market value or was it more of a case of the team saying since we're not sure if Miller is going to be back or not lets get as much of a look at Ajayi as we can so we can determine if we need to pursue a back in the draft? For some reason I doubt it was just a case or trying to hurt Miller's value.
