They did not lose in the 7 games they played last year against teams that finished the season below .500. This year, they are 4-0 against teams that are currently below .500.
Now since they are also 15-10 in that stretch, so they should be winning these games, but in the NFL winning every game you should win is easier said than done.
People want to complain that we are barely getting by these teams, but a win is a win.
Would you rather have the 1995 team, who lost to the 3-13 Jets, which killed their chances of winning the division? Or how about the 1996 team, who lost to the 7-9 Raiders and 6-10 Giants in back to back weeks, effectively ending their playoff chances? Or maybe the 1997 team, who lost to the 3-13 Colts 41-0 in a game where they could have clinched a playoff spot. Perhaps you prefer the 2002 team, who lost to the 6-10 Vikings, in another game that would have clinched a playoff spot. (That was the game when Wanny put the lobster trap in the locker room to prevent us from losing )

So look, the fact of the matter is that wins should NEVER be taken for granted. I'd prefer not to pace back and forth throughout the 4th quarter of every game, but it sure beats the results we've had in the past. If 2007 taught us anything, it's that we should enjoy a win no matter who we play or how we get it!

Go Phins!:dolphins:

yup thank you a win is a win. in this leauge il take any ugly win over any team its a lot better then the saint and colts game

You mean the Miami Dolphins are 10-0 over the last two seasons vs. teams with losing records. The phins win these games despite Tony Morono, not because of him.

Your opinion is becoming more and more invalid as time passes. Matt Ryan, your savior and lover, has looked nothing like a #1 QB that you proclaimed him to be, with 12 picks already on the year.

Wow, you need to get over what ever is wrong at this point. Has Sparano made a few questionable calls, yep. What about arguably the best coach in the game last night. Belichek pretty much lost the game for the Pats. It happens to the most experienced and Sparano is only in his second year. Like young players on our team he is still in his learning curve. If he keeps doing this in a couple more years I'll start to worry, but he is clearly the best coach we've had around here in years. Would you rather have Cameron or Saban running this thing? Please don't bring up Cowher or some other Super Bowl winning coach that is currently available. The fact is no coach has won a super bowl with one team and gone on to win one with another team.

Thats great but it also means the Dolphins are 4-11 against teams with winning records. including playoffs.

Dude can't win on the road at all. It's scary. :tumbleweed:

Belichick didnt lose that game. He made a brilliant decision to go for it on 4th and 2 there. They convert that play 4 times out of 5 in that situation last night. Had they converted, they win. And that was a much higher percentage play than punting and daring Peyton to go 70 yards or so to win.

Sparano is better than most of the coaches we have had since JJ. Sure. But, look at his competition. Wandstedt and Cameron are horrible. Id take Sparano over them. But, come on. Saban is a much better coach than Sparano. If Saban had someone to pick his players, especially Parcells, he wouldve been a beast with us. I wish we had Saban now with Parcells and Ireland creating the roster. That was Sabans biggest problem. His drafts were horrible and he made poor GM moves(Culpepper). As far as gameday coaching, Saban was tough.

Nope, you're wrong. TERRIBLE decision that cost NE the game.

You just can't have it both ways: Sparano at 15-10 who took over Satan and Cameron's garbage in orchestrating the greatest 1 year turnaround can't be evaluated any more critically than the little dicktator who converted a 4-12 team into a non playoff 9-7 one and then promptly turned it back into a 6-10 team. Even without considering Tony had less to work with than what Satan inherited, The Quitter's 15-17 pro record is mediocre at best and is trumped by Sparano's 15-10 record using any and every standard of measurement. As far as the little diquehead being "tough," yeah he was so tough that once he saw he couldn't bully grown men (or anyone other than office staff and secretaries) like he could college kids, and that coaching in the pros takes a helluva lot more skill and acumen than college, not to mention interpersonal skills and diplomacy, he snuck out like the little conniving, quitter coward beyotch that he was.

Sorry, WV, but IMO, attacking Sparano while defending - or even championing the satanic pipsqueak as a better coach leaves you on shaky ground.

Don't agree on the top at all. You punt....make Peyton go the 70, not 30. It's not like the Pats didn't stop him at all last night. I mean if it were REALLY the higher percentage play.....wouldn't we have already seen those types of things on a regular basis? 4th and 2 at your 30, with a 6 pt lead with 2 minutes left? Last night, imho, was a PERFECT example of why you punt. Even with one of the best o's in the league. ( I know, if he makes it last night, most would say he is a genious...I would say just a bigger gambler.) But that is just me, maybe more conservative than most.

However, we do see eye to eye on the coaching issue. Sparano's gameday decisions bother me more than anything any coach could hang up in a lockeroom to try and send a message. While I do think he will grow, as the team does, you do make valid points for concern.

Think about what your saying your saying that Satan had less work. At least the 04 dolphins won more than one game sparano is the better coach he inherited more of a DISASTER then Satan did.. if i was a coach i would rather inherit a 4-12 team then a 1-15 team
