Besides the May 05 rookie class showing Ronnie Brown, I believe the last previous SI Issue donning a Miami Dolphin was 2002 with Ricky on the cover. When Jimmy Johnson came aboard in 96 I believe there was two that year, one with Jimmy and Danny as the "Sunshine Boys" (with Danny grabbing Jimmys hair:lol: ) and one with Zach after beating the Patriots.

If and when do you think Nick and/or Ricky or another player will be on the cover?

One of my prize possessions is the Rookies on the Rise, Dan Marino original Sports Illustrated from Nov 83:D

I have that '83 SI... pretty sweet. I had it with me in Canton, hoping to get it signed, but no dice.

I think if we win 2 out of the next 3, you could see Saban on there.

Everyone is riding his jock now, at it will only get worse with more wins.

All those magazines who called him the next Spurrier during preseason, will have him on their cover by mid-season if we keep winning.

I hate the media.

hmmmm, when we beat the bills on the road next week i believe we will see Nick Saban on the cover.

My favorite one was the 1984 issue with Dan and Bernie Kosar when he was the QB for the Canes.

Weren't we on the cover a few years ago when we played oakland at home and fiedler ran it in for the winning touchdown.

I'm betting a cover split of Ricky and Ronnie after we rush for 300 yards while crushing the Bucs.:fire: Caddy will be heading for the garage after being held to 58 yards:lol:

That was on the Cover of the Dolphins Digest, with "Just Win, Baby" as the title, but I don't remember it being on the SI cover... could be wrong though.

EDIT: Yup, sounds like I'm wrong!!!

when we are 4-1 and ricky has a breakout week against tb. people will start believing, not only playoffs, but winning the afc east, and possibly getting a bye week. Then we will get an SI cover.

Dont forget the one with Dan on the cover for the last time after he let the Seahawks have it in the playoffs.

When Were For Real Saban Will Be Cover Man , When Will Be In About 6 Weeeks Or Less

Is my most prized SI edition. I also have the Super Duper, the Super Bowl preview, the Super Bowl loss edition, both Dan the Man editions, the Hall of Fame edition (with Dan's face), Sunshine Boys, Down and Dirty, Faces of the NFL and this years draft review.

Only have a few framed (all the ones I have from the '84 season are pretty beat up so I'm going to order cover reprints to hang). Eventually I'll have quite the room...if I can ever get that darn "buying a house" thing out of the way.
