That was horrible. Whoever did the yearly records had like 3 teams going under 8-8. Now, we all know that this is impossible. The laws of math will prove it.

thats why if you read the article, it states that HOMERISM is obvious because those records were chosen by all fans. But what i was getting at was that alot of fans realize we look pretty good as a team, and also in the "reality" section they gave saban a compliment. i understand your point though.

I hear ya. I honestly think we will go 11-5. Win the division. I am going to Vegas in August and am gonna put a grand on us winning the east. What do you think the odds are? Are we gonna be the favorite at that time?

Good post. Did you read it? Of course it's impossible, that's what the whole article was about.:goof: :shakeno:

To be honest, do what your gut feels like. This time last year i wanted to put 5 grand on the fins because vegas had us only winning 5 1/2 games last year and I knew they would win more. the odds were something rediculous and I wanted to do it but my dad wouldnt let me becuase he said i was too broke to lose that kind of money which is true. but now you should see what he has to say about that bet. I think we will be slightly under the pats but not by much. id say we will be 3 to 1 and the pats 2 to 1 but thats just my guess.

Last time I checked they had us at 15-1 to win the Superbowl, 3-1 for AFC East, 6-1 for AFC champ. Last week wed.

Yah last I heard we were 11-1 to win the super bowl after the culpepper trade...and I was right on that 3 to 1 odd for the AFC East crown if that is correct.

I know this is just what fans think, and not necessarily accurate but it just shows how fast Saban has turned this team around. Even ESPN gave Saban a great compliment. Also, I checked and didnt see this posted anywhere else, so if it is I apologize ahead of time.

Thanks for the article.

This is how I honestly see the AFC East shaping up:

1. Dolphins: 10-6
2. Patriots: 9-7
3. Bills: 6-10
4. Jets: 4-12

Hey, thanks nubs that means alot. Yah I agree, even though it seems like a two team race, I believe our division will still be tough, just like it always is. Last year the pats and fins were close, this year I believe will be the year the BB and Saban battles begin.

I honestly don't even think the bills are worth 6 wins. Not homerism.

It's just that they've regressed even further from last year. And the two top teams from the AFC East have gotten better (Dolphins) or are still very good. (Patriots. :barf: )

...Who are the jets???

Both Pats/Fins games this year are going to be huge. I think we will end up splitting with them again(seems like we always split). Getting a record of 12+ wins in the AFC East is not going to be an easy task.

The Jets and Bills will give us a challenge, but the fact that we have better overall talent and a coaching staff that doesn't fold, I really expect a sweep of those teams. It won't be easy to sweep both of them, but if we expect to make it far this season, it is something that has to be done. Games against the Bills, Pats, and Jets mean a whole lot more then games like the Steelers and Chiefs.

I was even thinking about our chances if everything we are hoping for falls through. I mean, say Ricky is suspended for the year, Culpepper misses a few games, Harrington does not come here, and Arrington signs elsewhere. I still think we have to be considered a legitimate threat for the AFC East title.

exactly, even though division games are always a challenge it is true that we need those wins from them. If we struggle with the jets and bills, how are we going to challenge difficult teams in difficult atmospheres in the playoffs. we need to dominate them from the get go.

First of all, Im really hoping ricky comes back because I believe he really was a big part of our success last year and even that of Ronnie Browns. Im sure Ricky had alot of nfl knowledge to pass to him. I feel ok with ronnie being the man, but with ricky i feel a heck of alot safer that is for sure. I believe we will still be a threat also, but its really hard to say when we really dont have a backup qb. I dont know all that much about cleo lemon, but im going to go out on a limb here and say I dont like our chances the first few games if he starts...that or we run the ball a heck of a lot.

pats have continued to regress. more key players have left for free agency and of course there defensive coord. They will miss McGinest on end this year. less O line depth. 1 less wr. Finally they are beginning to crumble. I actually remember when Bill was a crappy coach. " metcalf up the middle " was his standard play. old browns fan will cringe when they hear that. we will split at a miniumum.
