Spragan benched....Channing starter

That is very good news in my opinion...
 
wow i thought spragen was doing ok... but im really not thinking we're getting a whole season out of seau either way so he'll be on the field
 
I'd tend to agree and also we shoud look at a couple LBs to replace Moore and Pope. A guy that comes to mind is Levar Woods who's got major size.
 
Why should the team replace Pope? He's done nothing but play well since he's been here. It makes little sense to cut a player that has played so well on the team and can start in a pinch at the linebacker spot.
 
Surprising, I thought Spragan was a lock to start with Channing backing up all three.
 
That's great news. He has a ton of upside and we need to get him some experience.
 
I'd prefer Moore, but those two are eventually going to be useless in a system that prefers large LBs.
 
According to the article, it says Crowder is moving inside with ZT, and Seau to the outside in a 3/4, so whos the other starting lb?
 
Pope can flat out play. He won't be useless even if he is undersized. Nick Saban isn't going to get rid of a good young player just because he is considered smaller than he likes.
 
The move to elevate Crowder, a third-round pick from Florida, was somewhat surprising. Crowder had an impressive camp, forcing the coaching staff to move him to one of the inside linebacker spots in a 3-4 scheme and moving Junior Seau to the strongside linebacker spot.

Moore on the other hand I'm assume is a little bit less promising now due to his injuries. There's no doubt though KB you must admit that team needs a large LB backup and Moore might only be kept until we get a large LB.
