the culpepper addition will make us one of the hardest teams to control offensively...

for instane...im not gonna tell saban or mularkey what to do with this offense...but let me tell you how excited i am at the possibility of running a spread offense in certain situations, say like on the opposing five yard line...imagine this...

you have culpepper, with his size and running ability...you open the lanes...audible to a shot gun formation... motion brown into a slot position, and moving mcmichael off the line...or you could keep ronnie in the backfield...imagine the danger culpepper poses in tight, when he cant be brought down by a single linebacker...it would put teams on the defensive and force them out of 8 man fronts or blitz packages near the goal line...

last year, we struggled in games in the red line in crucial games...culpepper gives us a serious edge...

i just love the possibilities that come with a big bodied guy like peps...you team him with a back as diverse as ronnie brown and teams wont be able to script defenses to contain us...

This may be one of the best offenses in the league.

I agree, but I still want to hold off on stating Culpeppers mobility. He used to be awesome - but coming off knee surgery I don't want him taking hits from 3 or 4 lineman, linebackers, or safetys around the goal line.

I have to say I'm really excited about what this offense is going to do next year. More than that though I'm excited to see what this offense will look like in 2 or 3 years, after they have had the chance to play together for a while. I really think its hard to find a weakness on our offense. We have probowl players at WR and QB, with a up and coming RB, and a vastly improving O-Line. We will be a tough offense.

If we can get a couple strong DB we will be a very tough all around team.

It obvious that his arm and (Hopefully to a point) his legs will bring a BRAND NEW dynamic to this offsense that's been missing for some time. There is not one thing that any defense can focus on. We have the receivers, the running backs, and the quarterback.. our O-Line looked pretty good at the end of the season and if they start off where they left off, then as a Def Coordinator, where do you attack? Blitz and Pep will kill you, put 8 in the box and we'll kill you with the pass, play honest and we can have our choice of running Brown, Ricky, or passing to the WR's, TE's, RB's out of the backfield.. nasty, just nasty is all I can say about the possibilities with this offense..

Not so fast

This is "meat and potatoes" goal line offense. In fact, any 3rd and short yardage formation.

This is nothing new. Man up press defense + Nickle back or safety blitz forces the check down pass.

Any other genius ideas out there?

Now, imagine the same offense in a no-huddle format...keeping the D off balance all the way down the field...

Another thing he brings that we have missed for two years is the ability to throw on the run. Surprisingly, Ears was pretty accurate throwing on the run on roll outs and scrambles, but Culpepper is better simply because he has a stronger arm and is accurate as well.

You don't think Daunte if the knee is even 75% can elude the blitz or hit the checkdown from the 5 yd line?
