Can't let New England dink and dump passes to him. Should eliminate him and make Edleman and Amendola beat the fins.
 
This is exactly what NE is gonna do. The guy goes out on 3 routes, and for some reasons defense's just let it happen.

I said this a few days ago in a different thread. We should be in Nickle most of the game and have Wilson on Vareen. Wilson has done a nice job against slot receivers this year and should be able to handle Vareen. The guy is a serious weapon, and with Gronk out i think we can afford to throw out 1 less LB.
 
Dropping Jordan into coverage on him from time to time can be effective too. Throwing over Jordan will be a hard throw and he can run step for step with about any RB/TE out there. Mix it up.
 
Not so sure about running the nickel package every down, our run D has been struggling a little and the pats can run the ball at times. Our front 4 is going to have one of its better games of the year. Get a few sacks, constant pressure. If this ass hat has all day to throw forget it.
 
If ever they're going to fully deploy Jordan this week is it. His skill set and schemes that are change ups would create problems for the Pats.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Hopefully, this game will be Jordan's coming out party. Some TFL's, Several hits, hurries, and a sack or two of tommy boy would be real nice.
 
Problem is our linebackers cant keep up with Vareen.. Get them in 3rd and long and just make the tackle when he catches it
 
If we let their backs catch passes wide open out of the backfield all day I am going to lose it. This happens every time we play them. And can we hit Brady please? I don't care if we give up the big play. Hit the quarterback! That 3 man rush isn't going to work against him.
 
You dont "spy" him like he is a QB. You have to have a player cover him. He is a very tough matchup for a LB. But, this could be a game where Wheeler actually earns his money. If Wheeler is fast, he is going to have to cover Vereen. Good luck.
